f**k we need the bye next week…. three weeks in a row we’ve nearly let big leads slip.

Congrats Dragons, played well and probably unlucky to not be walking away with 2 points given that awful, awful forward pass call against you.
To me it felt like the Raiders played within themselves and were always the better side. Weekes is in great form and lit it up tonight.
At least my bunch made it interesting.

Glad I watched that live. Not the same watching a replay.

I'll have to watch the replay. My flight to Brisbane got delayed by 8 hours and I've just arrived at my in-laws house as the game was ending.

Happy to get the 2 points. It looks like the Dragons had a dig.

If the Steel Dragons lose by one try, that disallowed will be news all week.
Well we did but the media won’t give f**k about one of the lower teams being screwed over by the officials. We’ll get an apology from the NRL but there will be no consequences for those responsible.

Raiders are not playing anything close to their best the last few weeks
Bye comes at a good time, chance to rest up and get ready for a finals run

Most good teams would have beaten us tonight and the Dragons were pretty unlucky with some first half calls not to have won. But it's nice that the Raiders are winning games without getting out of 2nd gear.
Good opportunity to kick on here, secure the minor premiership and see what we can do in a weird year

Tamale cant come back soon enough though... it's taken longer than i thought for teams to realise how bad Jed Stuart is and aggressively target him but it started tonight and i expect it to continue going forward. He's just not a NRL level footballer.

Was that jurno taking the p1ss? Asking why Raiders fans were booing Kyle Flanagan? Umm because they are the away team

Honestly embarrassing shit from her
Sort it out.
So pleased that both coaches put her in her place
Shit question

One thing about Ricky. He'll kill his grandmother to win a game of football. He'll pick the best 17 available every week, unlike Flanagan.

It's arguable whether Jed is in our best 17, even as 4th choice winger...

I can live with it but if Ricky doesn't bring in outside back depth over the off season it will be pure nepo.

Hoppa is 3 ACLs deep and Jed is Cup level at best. Our middle is stacked. Edge forwards stacked. Brought in Brailey as hooker depth, chasing Clifford to keep Sanders honest. He cannot honestly say we've done the same at outside backs currently...

Starling is a worry coming into finals. His passing is dog shit and he takes a lot of poor options in the opposition Red zone... Thankfully we have a good backup.

I mean, to be fair to the great man, if your forwards are stacked and the halves and hooker have quality depth, it's probably not likely you'll get a lot better than Cup level as your fourth or fifth string winger anyway. Might as well be your son in that case.

Most fans think Asomua is a better bet- without crying too much because both have strengths and weaknesses. We could also play Sisagi at centre, Kris wing and Noah Martin at edge which gets more of our talent on the park and doesn't bring up any 4th choice potatoes. Noah Martin will be a 100+ game FGer, maybe even rep.

It's more for who we recruit coming in- Hoppa was our 3rd choice but has his own mobility issues already and now has a 3rd ACL= he's cooked.

Even before the season fans identified winger/centre backup as the thinnest squad issue. So I'd be more annoyed if now Rick doesn't recruit a squad level outside back, even though we clearly need one, because he'd feel like he's recruiting over Jed. It would be pure nepo behaviour so we'll see.
