Yeah but look at the forward packs
We will see how our 'strong' pack will go against a bunch of youngsters. We should really dominate them, considering the personnel.
Will it show how far advanced the Roosters are developing their team compared to us or will we show that we have a pack to be reckoned with?
Whilst I agree, there’s a reason the spine are the highest paid players in the game. The difference between a good forward and average forward can be fairly minimal. But the difference between a good back and average back can be huge. The Roosters have their best spine player in Teddy, when you look across the two teams he stands out as by far the best player. If we even had just Api I think it would be a very close game.
Credit to the Roosters aswell, they rarely bring a kid into grade who doesnt end up being ready. Then you look at us. Luke Lauilili who is very promising is playing centre up against Marky Mark who has proven to be one of the best attacking players in the game. Luke has played a grand total of 0 games at centre in Flegg/Cup (played 2 or 3 in Ball a couple of years back) so of course the best time to see how he goes there is in first grade. Meanwhile the club has 3 centres in Naden, Feledy and Fataape in the lowers.
Considering the Roosters are missing 9 or whatever it is from their 17 I certainly wont be using players missing as an excuse should we lose. If we even had a semi competent coach I believe we'd be a decent chance.
Our chances of winning are probably going to come down to how Adam Doeihi plays, which is about as depressing as it gets.
