I think a players enjoyment of being at a club is as important off the field as it is on the field.
The few times that I've seen To'a off the field, I've picked up on who he is hanging around with, and that has been all the new guys.
One time he was playing cards with the lads at the back of the bus after a game. You could see them bonding.
This is a very important aspect of professional sport.
It's a bit like being in the Trenches before or after the battle.
I think the real reason LG left is because he couldn't relate to the group and was willing to take a pay cut to go elsewhere where he could be the topdog. When LG bucked the system, the other players treated him like the ugly duckling on social media.
I think Bula and his teammates have a mutual respect for each other that could effect Bula's decision to extend.
Having Turuva eases our anxiety somewhat knowing we have plan B.

I think Bula will stay, we've just recently signed his wife to play in the woman's comp.
A very astute move by Richo, imo.
But more importantly, is the way he conducts himself, he's humble, what he did in that preseason trip, was amazing, it showed his character. But has said he wants to stay and has a bucket of money waiting for him to do so.
Give him another few years, he'll be looking at higher honours in the game.
What I don't understand, is why he signed on with the grub?

I don't like Moses but signing with him is a good move I think. It will ensure his future contracts are going to be good ones.
Bula in the end, will have the final say.

I think a lot of players will have these new clubs on their radar and having a ruthless manager may help them land a big contract with them.

Moses isn't ruthless, he is without scruples and has had a fixation on the WT's for a while.
The proof of that is, he get a worse deal for Galvin then what we offered.
He starts looking before contracts have ended, and then agitating for a release, which I thought was not allowed.
But TBH, if you're good enough, you'll get your contract that you deserve.

True. You've said it often before Tm that winning solves a lot of problems. If we can start winning games and players see a bright future at Wests Tigers they might just want to be a part of it and stay with us.

With the swindler it’s entirely about the money & extracting the most lucrative deal possible for himself & his client. On the books Galvin might be getting less but in reality including third party deals plus under the table payments it’s unequivocal Moses has negotiated a much bigger deal than what we legitimately offered. The dogs have numerous advantages in luring players to Belmore in an unscrupulous spinmeister gen mgr a billionaire benefactor & exorbitant poker machine revenue
