30%? Ratings are up about 5%. Why do you think the value has increased by 30%?

Well… I’m not saying it …they are … I think the figure PVL has stated is closer to 50 percent actually,.. but you would have to ask them the specifics as to their reasons

It does seem ambitious…. But something is worth today what people are prepared to pay for it …and doesn’t necessarily need to be based on what someone paid for it previously… having multiple interested parties may help drive the price if that is indeed the actual situation

Rating are up much more than 5%

12% up across Foxtel. And wookie has the NRL 8% up on FTA in 2025.

NRL viewership has been up every year of this Broadcast deal which would equate to much more than 30% with 2 years to go.

By the end of this cycle 2027, the NRL will very likely be up 55-70% on viewership compared to when the cycle started in 2022.

Wookie would probably have the data for this.

Fumblers got 30 percent more out of foxtel with gather round, Tasmania and exclusive super Saturday

Nrl has one extra game a round, 12 extra games via team 19, expanded nrlw, origin to be simulcast on fox and maybe Monday night football

And for the first time in history another bidder for the pay tv rights

If Stan get the pay tv rights Foxtel becomes number two

And they will monetise the png tv rights too that should be worth tens of millions too

Afl has maxed out ratings in Australia in terms of new growth opportunities whilst nrl still has wa and one day Adelaide

Ratings would be up 30 percent since the last tv deal was done

Plus factor in ratings growth over the new deal

NRL (RL) has more room for improvement than any other sport in terms of getting the rules right, clubs being run properly, expansion, the game being well managed etc. I feel like league is in its infancy in terms of many aspects of the sport.

Let’s face it. Peter V is toying with the leaders of AFL and union. And they know it. I’m no horse racing aficionado , but even I know of the Everest horse race. And that it probably is 2nd only to the Melbourne Cup in gravitas. All due to Peter V .

Cause nothing much got done in 30 years except the addition of the titans

The bunker and how the refs are coached are another issue that’s broken

Most clubs still have poor ceo and football dept so are useless for decades

The North Queensland Cowboys are planning to transform the Cape York Hotel in Cairns into a new Cowboys Leagues Club, with the conversion scheduled to be completed by 2027.

This move is part of the Cowboys' broader expansion plans in Cairns, including a new high-performance center at West Barlow Park. The Leagues Club will serve as a social hub for the Cowboys in Cairns, strengthening their presence in the region.

True.
Also: marketing, the rules/game play, coaching development (I think this is the biggest sleeper issue).
