Harris Tevita out of the starting team makes me happy

Haven’t seen much of tmm but you guys seem to rate him so I’ll keep an eye out

Tupiki can play wing he’s too small for fullback imo when you’ve got shek there

Websters stubborn refusal to play him at fullback is weird

Shecks best position is fullback it’s such a shame he’s wasted
With Harris Tevita - he is, as of yesterday 07.07.2025, sitting 4th - yep 4th for try assists - better than nearly $6mil worth of "other stars". and has scored 6 tries in 8 games. And - he is a fantastic defensive player (anywhere he plays)
I really can't or don't see the problems others seem to have with him..

He’s a passenger when the attack is on

Tannah Boyd will be interesting at seven, with tupiki at one and apparently dwz comint back from injury

mmm, I know I haven't played or coached for a few years - but if my half was scoring 6 tries in 8 games and was ranked/sitting 4th out of 34 halfs in the comp, I'd be rapted. His attack playing must be pretty good, I'd have thought.

A little off topic but if Boyd goes well at the warriors, how bad does it make Titans recruitment and retention look. You've got Gold Coast halves Fogarty, Sexton and potential Boyd in good form for other clubs whilst the Tits are struggling with no real halfback to pair with Foran.

and a scary thought for Perth Bears - they have just hired him. Perth Bears has recruited Ezra Howe, the Gold Coast Titans’ experienced recruitment manager after 7yrs with Titans. :(

Been watching league for 40 years so in that time I’ve picked up a few things about the game

If you’ve been watching them this year you would know Metcalf has been carrying them

Kapiti Coast 57,000

Porirua 61,000

Upper Hutt 47,000

Lower Hutt 113,000

Wellington City 209,000

Take away a few thousand from the northern extremity of the Kapiti Coast (basically north of Waikanae, the limit of our electrified commuter trains) that's just over 480,000 population that's within an hours reliable public transport of Sky Stadium.

Crucial, given the stadium is right next door to Wellington railway station, basically the nexus of the whole network, and just about every event we see the majority of fans come in via trains from Northern dormitory suburbs, and buses from Wellington City's suburbs (not serviced by rail)

Meanwhile, Christchurch needs a change in mindset... with less than 5% of those surveyed saying they'd take a bus to events at Te Kaha.

Palmy just up the road too.

For sure, the places I mention are just the ones within the reach of the Metlink public transport network, what with Sky Stadium being pretty much at the Wellington Railway Station.

However, the drive from Palmy is easier than it's ever been, what with the drive all the way between Wellignton & Otaki being motorway nowadays. That's another 91,000 people to draw from, right there.

Otaki to Levin extension to begin construction shortly too. Drive is piss easy.

Why would a RL fan from Auckland support another team other than the warriors?
It does have the biggest population base

Not needed unless league really does take over

Or maybe Hamilton

Warriors could do with some competition in Auckland it made the broncos more popular with the dolphins coming in
