Is it just me or is Suli particularly error-prone? Don't want to single out the bloke but a couple of gems cost us dearly.. first set knock-on, and a simple forward pass to his unmarked wing killing a rare 2nd half scoring opportunity.. his size and power seem to compensate for finesse but its not paying off in results. Time for a lower grades center call up?
Flanno loves him, can do no wrong. It’s bizarre - worst right centre in the comp. Battering ram only , good for errors and lazy lateral movement in each game

As far as I’m concerned everyone can say what they want about our clueless Coaches or our brain dead players BUT there were 2 things that stood out for me tonight that were just plain wrong.
1 Suli was hit in the head by Crichton several times and Collins ran in and started a melee …… nothing to see here just go and play the ball, RORTED
2 Collins objected to Sloan diving on him so gets up pushed Sloan and I think LKT out of the way and loses the ball which then starts another melee …. Penalty Rorters FFS The NRL aren’t even trying to cover up the cheating anymore!!!
I’m over it, ALL the non fancied teams are being stitched every f**king week.
I'm with you re the Collins penalty. Watching the game on TV with my son, the ref did not penalise the tackle unless I missed something and Collins just gets up and starts swinging at Sloan and gets the penalty 1 metre out. Both of us said WTF is Collins geting the penalty for? We were half decent and scoring points in the first half and should have had a full set then.

I might need to go to specsavers, and not for any minute do I think we would have gone the length of the field on the last minute, but was the Tedesco pass for the last try a mile forward?

Can’t manage a game when 13 on 12
cant kick a decent touch finder
cant be relied on to not drop a ball running it out of defence
cant take a trick on the bounce of the ball
cant stop having a non passing forward take it up on an attacking set on the 4th and die with the ball when you are down and need to score
cant win a 50-50 penalty
cant win another game this year but…

can take the spoon, warming favourites, a first for me in 50 years of supporting.

this is leadership fails.
Gutho also way tooooooo sloooooow ......... To do anything other than 30 m out .........

Time to support Shane Flanagan lads.Too much negativity going around. He is doing a good job as far as I am concerned.Hopefully the injury list improves for us going forward.Keep the faith and support the Dragons.
Yeah, he’s doing a pretty good job with the team he has. The issue is, a lot of the players in the team wouldn’t make first grade in any other team. And that’s what’s killing us. We can’t sign marquee players

I feel the same but for the NRL

I used to watch every game possible

Now its a struggle just to watch ours
Not only does our team suck, they don’t appear to be becoming decent anytime soon, and they don’t care about becoming better. the whole league is dodgy the way certain teams get the rub of the green, and the refs determines the outcome of games, not to mention the mistakes week in and week out that they make that they aren’t accountable for. This team and sport is a drug to me. How do I get it out of my system? I’m like a junkie for this team and sport. And it’s depressing the f**k out of me.

Yes Teddy’s pass was forward. No doubt at all.

However, this goes to the heart of the difficulty in refereeing Rugby League. It is so fast now and has no static reset ( like NFL) of plays. It never has had a static reset but back when I played there was a 5 metre rule and more of an even contest between attack n defence. It allowed time to slow the reset and better ‘legal’ positioning at the play the ball etc.

Now it is a fast moving reset where nearly every play the ball has a penalty in it ( no exaggeration). The ref has to ignore infringements to keep the game moving until he or she determines that an infringement passes a non tolerable element subjective to the ref’s opinion.

I won’t go on and on. Basically, games are won n lost on these moments more than ever in the history of the game.

If we went for the 2 at 18-12 .
We get the ball back which takes there fg out of the equation..

I was at the game tonight. I dont care what people say, 2 times Sloan stood there and watched them run straight past him. No attempted tackle, no nothing. He should never be selected again.
The second half try he was joined in standing still by several others.
The Roosters didn’t even play well tonight, luckily for us. I was at the Anzac Day debacle and thought we’d get square for once but that was too much to expect. Giving away stupid penalties when we got down their end. Once again a totally rubbish kicking game that never pressured them at all. Letting them get 6 points while they were a player down basically sums our team up. We let them have the ball for almost the whole time Walker was off
We throw the ball round for the first 20 mins and then its finished. Watching the same plan week in, week out.
Im just getting so sick of watching us lose, and going further down the ladder with no real chance of anything changing if we keep the same style of play every week. Surely a change of no 7 has to be our first priority. Flanagan isnt a bad player but hes not leading us round the park. Our season is done with who were playing next so why not try moving some guys around and see what happens. Weve got nothing to lose anymore
But they will play the same boring as shit football.
They want to get into a grind.
If you need to win like that we are doomed.

Looking at that side yesterday we need to release and replace probably 7 or 8 players. Only when that happens will we see us start to compete with the top sides.

Comparing the side to the Roosters the only player that would make their side would be Val.

Crichton hands, arms and elbow all over Suli. If Suli did that in a tackle penalty.

Collins was shown up by Sloan, penalty was a gee up and the forward pass.

Nothing happing, all in the line and then a huge whole opened up and they stroll through.

Had enough of the ball down their end in the second half to win.

Boys had a go however, thought at times they were short out wide, and we didn't have a crack coming out of our half.
