Trindall has always played like he is now, nothing's changed except the surprise element has gone as defences have him worked out. His choice of pass, when to run and when to kick have always been questionable and he's far enough into his career a lot of those poor decisions should be a thing of the past.

I suspect the coaching is as much to blame in fairness to him as well.

I don't think Herbie ever got behind the player when he first passed to him. I guess an exciting finish is more worry to the NRL than things like blatant forward passes being called.
