I'm not sure why but for Newy I feel like Brad Arthur would be the perfect choice. Maybe because he's the guy that has gotten the best out of Dylan Brown in his career thus far? Seems like a good choice for them.

Josh Hannay returns the Gold Coast Titans to the merry-go-round of an upcoming assistant coaches, following the tenure of Garth Brennan and Justin Holbrook. Holbrook was a Super League coach, but was still untried as an NRL head coach. It's probably not the Titans' fault, though, as there isn't a lot on the market. The fact that Kevin Walters is going hard for the Kangaroos' gig probably shows he's not in the frame of things.

Very few experienced coaches on the market, the only coaches mentioned to even be potentially Titans bound right now are Josh Hannay, Willie Peters and The Walker Brothers, it doesn't look too promising.

Is Phil Economidis still around?

Laurie Daley quotes after an origin decider losses.

You could almost read the same stuff each time.

Dribble with no idea is Loz

2015 - "I didn't see that coming," NSW coach Daley said. "We were never in it – we didn't start or play the way we would have liked to and it didn't get much better from there.

"We aren't back to square-one, but I didn't see that coming at all so obviously we've taken some steps backwards."

2017 - The biggest disappointment of Daley’s coaching career was the inevitable result and facing a press pack desperate for answers, he reverted to type, loyally defending his troops as he struggled to articulate why he was so convinced they could and would turn things around.

Yeah, I think they can, yeah. Most definitely. And they will, they’ll eventually get there,” Daley said.

“Obviously we thought it was going to be this year. But this group of people who have come through, they’re the right guys to be there and they’ve got some others on the verge as well.

“So I think NSW, while they should be disappointed, they should be quite excited about what can happen.”

2025 - “I think what we’ve been building,” Daley responded when asked why he was the man to coach the Blues next year.

“While I was disappointed with the result, I think the players have had a really good campaign. We just sort of didn’t nail the moments, so we’ve got to make sure that we’re better at that.

Arthur would be a good pick up for either the Knights or Titans considering where both clubs are at, though I'd say the Titans need him more.

The club has some really exciting players and has no shortage of quality juniors, they just need someone to coach them to play more than 20 minutes.

Do the more professionally run clubs have the CFO prepare a second budget to show the cash flow if the coach is fired in various years of their contract?

If Payten is sacked then the idiots that signed a middle forward on a million a year contract for 10 years, should be sacked too. If they're still at the club. That is the biggest handbrake on that club.
That was in 2017, when Peter Parr was our Football manager.

He is now at the Knights, killing it....
