Depending on how much space Herbie's new contract takes up, there's every chance the Dolphins might be happy to accommodate an early release here and there.

Exactly whats a contract these days.

Plus throw in Katoa will be sniffing an upgrade in 12-18 months.

I would say he is in top 5 halfbacks in the comp already.

Cleary, Hughes, Moses, Deardon, Katoa would be my top 5.

Let's go with our options.

Joash - 1 good first half that's it
Hunter - unproven and is also a defensive liability.
Volkman - if you don't like Joash you won't like Volkman.
Footy Dean - not sure a. 5/8
Lorenzo - also unproven needs another off season.

Maybe get Walker fit in the off season and play him at 5/8

If we don’t recruit (which would be a huge failure) then Walker is the only option at 6 capable of playing first grade

My biggest knock on Joash today was the lack of vision when trying to rush the short side on the left. It wasn't the fact that he threw the ball over the sideline, it was that there was absolutely nothing on. No overlap, no room. This happened twice. So he is premeditating a play, rather than looking for where there are weaknesses in the defence.

Also, we did not see his vaunted running game again. All we saw was plenty of unforced errors.

Papalii needs time. He is learning to play NRL, at the same time, learn a new position which includes defending in the front line.

It's a shit load to take on for a seasoned player to learn a new role, but he is also doing it as a rookie! It's massive task!!

Needs time! No guarantees he will get there, but no chance you can right him off after 3 games there!!

Interestingly some of those negative towards him, also wrote off, Kautago after a couple of games.....

I reckon there is a good chance once he settles into the NRL, he will start developing nicely.....

I didn’t write off KK but please don’t make out he is on the cusp of a Kangaroo tour either.

Na, but this dude did:

I think I agree with you. I had some hope for Kit Kat but he’s shit and as a good judge said, his runs for a man his size are soft.

And aren't claiming anything about his potential, but the improvement from his first game for us compared to his last, has been good and is looking more like a first grader each week.... All simply because he has been given time....

Joash isn’t making it. He's shit. Put it in your signature block and date stamp it. He is f**king terrible with awful defence and teams will keep targeting him until he goes back to where he belongs - reserve grade.

Yup, it's a big no from me for Joash. He is too erratic.

The one most likely that looks like a 6 is actually Iongi.

If we don't sign a 6 next year, I really would go Hawkins 6.
