How long have we been saying 'hopefully'?

Souths, Parra, Warriors, Tigers, Raiders, Roosters...all found just enough to dispatch of us when our season was on the line and we had the players at our disposal. The players the coach has rallied in his tenure. Now Bulldogs will notch up another win, just like they did in Round one, like they have done in all the recent years and as they will do again in Vegas. We are just the team you turn up, you beat.

How much money do you bet Holmes' absence won't be brought up in the presser when we get beat? We are built on excuses.

Hopefully the CEO will change something.
Hopefully the young kids will stay around and prosper.
Hopefully we sign some marquees.
Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully...

Hope is not how you make a mark in this comp but it is our mantra.
The whole board and the ex players still hanging around the joint all need to be shafted before we even start to be a top 4 team ......... So where does it start ........ ?

I usually always treat Read’s “journalism” with contempt but I saw this the other day and he’s right. 15 years of mismanagement have got us here. The morons making the decisions all still have their jobs though - any other business you would have got sacked 5-6-7 years ago for such poor performance at the board level. Not at the Dargons though. We have the smell of Newtown…

Just got to admit that from 2012 onwards, the brand of St George Illawarra Dragons has gone downhill. Brent Read has hit the nail on the head and there is no denying it. From the BOD to the coaches to the players, the years of hoping and hoping have become too frustrating and depressing. I think that there would not be many players wanting to join our club - it just doesn't have that "appeal" anymore and of course if there is a toss up between joining the Dragons or the Storm, Panthers, Roosters, Dogs etc we lose out on all accounts for the better players. History has shown this. This year, players want to leave and we have reached the stage that we presumably hired Daniel Anderson to reverse this trend and we sign those better players. Let's see what eventuates.

Many of us, not all, dread the days we play because there isn't that much confidence in us winning. I cannot see us beating the Dogs this evening and there is no need to hope anymore because hope isn't the answer and patience flew out of the window years ago.

It really hurt me to say what I said. It is the reality of the situation.

I looked forward to this year particularly how we played in the preseason trials but that proves again that trials are not a good gauge for determining future games. Injuries to a lot of our players - mostly long term ones hasn't helped us and our squad was not that strong anyway at the start but far worse now.

Good luck Dragons. I wish you all luck and play the best you can.

Conversion.
They wear red. I used to visit my grandparents in Redcliffe.
Is this enough for a possible conversion to the Dolphins?
Oh and it starts with D.
If it counts I have seen Dolphins off the beach at Bulli.
Dragolphins?- hmm- might take some getting used to but I am envious of the 700,000 population living on the Redcliffe Peninsula which, added to the rest of Brisbane, gives them a much bigger junior nursery than we have.

I wish Suli fed the ball to his winger more often.
Flanagan kicks deep for a catch on fhe full.

All the calls going against us as usual.

Allen should have put him over the sideline.
