He does even more dumb shit at centre than at wing. Saints fans tore their hair out about him at centre for years. Last year he properly transitioned to wing, and it was by far and away the best he’s ever played.

Perhaps more to the point, it’s where there is a space for him with us. I don’t think he fits neatly at centre now, with Bailey and Penisini doing the job. But he’s a first choice wing.

He isn't that fast though. If he cuts out the dumb shit and just does what he does now and has a fast winger outside him then I see an upside.

With 13 to go in the 2nd half and the scoreline still close Raiders grubbered a ball into our in-goal with Junior Paulo hip and shouldering a Raiders chaser off the ball.

pEnnis was ropeable beseeching the Bunker to insert themselves and penalise Paulo for "a professional foul" with Voss screaming "that's a sin bin!".

It was almost a repeat play of last week except in that game the chaser was an Eel and the defender hip and shouldering the Eel off the ball was a Panther, with pEnnis and Dross ecstatic at the resolute Panthers defense which they clearly found worthy of a standing ovation.

Lord how I hate them both.

But he’s played centre the vast majority of his career, and has been much better on the wing in more limited time than he ever was as a centre. Maybe he’s just not the answer in either position, but I think he only really fits on the wing for us. That was Flanagan’s conclusion at St George last year, and it’s plainly Ryles’ view here too given that he started at centre before being pushed to the wing pretty quickly.

Ennis is an utter f**kwit. As sure as night follows day, him being a knob is a given.

He fits at wing as we don't have any other good winger apart from the Fox.

Same as our centres to be honest.

I am happy if he stays on the wing if we can get some better centre or if we get some fast wingers he moves back to centre.

Wherever he plays, Lomax is a net positive, despite his errors and the occasional dumb shit he does. But yes, I agree with you, this all speaks to the lack of quality of our outside backs. I think he’s a better winger than he is centre, and that we have better centre options than we do wing options if we were to move him inside.

I hope Iongi studies the art of support play.

His going well

But if there is one criticism we made 4 breaks in the first half and he was nowhere to be seen in support.

All the great fullbacks Paps, Tedesco, Gutho, Edwards, Hammer are there when a break is made.

If Iongi wants to be elite he could have scored 3 tries today in that first half if he was there and be under the posts.

Gutho is slowing down but always was on the spot when a break was made and with Iongi having more speed he would have scored 3 tries today with the breaks we made.
It's his first NRL season....ffs!

As much as he shits me and as much as he’s disappointed in not kicking on as much as he could/should have, we will miss Dylan next year. If the opportunity arose for him to still be our 6 next year, we’d be absolutely braindead not to want that to happen. He is a different prospect with Moses on the field. I’m still disappointed he’s going, despite him being overpaid for what he has contributed so far.
Who?
