Not sure what will impress some dragons supporters - we take on the top team with a key out and because of a dumb bunker on a guy who doesn’t stand to play the ball we get done by 2. I, for one, am proud of my team! Many of you were predicting a 40 point loss.
This!!
Add in the HUGEEEEEE f**kING INJURY TOLL.
plus another one tonight .

How many accounts do you have on here be honest? Embarrassing
I’m not sure what you are insinuating. I have one account. I’m 55 yrs old and have followed the big red v every day of my life. Even got some Jubilee oval grass implanted in my front yard! I was super proud of the boys tonight. We need to get behind them.
Sloan is garbage. I’m glad we lost that I actually mean that. Club is a disgrace and has certainly lost its identity. Club is rotten
Are you serious????? You are glad that we lost? You are not a dragons supporter.

Gutted - again can't fault the effort. The 1%ers let us down most games (either from individuals or collectively as a team).

As a side note though - it was three back-to-back piggy back penalties where Burton put the big kicks into touch which gave the Bulldogs hope.

I have absolutely no doubt about it - the NRL fair dinkum has an entertainment producer in the bunker giving advice to the ref i.e. "you've got to get them out of their red zone, been down there for too long". It's only at the game where you can really see what is going on. Tonight, they fair dinkum did everything to keep the Bulldogs rolling up the field, despite us absolutely defending as though our lives depended on it.

That's what now? Six games lost by two or less this year? The difference between 18 competition points and 30 competition points. Add the close ones we've won, and it has to be some sort of record where we've been involved in games with such little swing either side.

I grew up watching Rugby League predominantly in the 90's and into the early 2000s. The game as I knew from back then is well and truly dead. The NRL has it's sniff of the cash that will come from the American market. The only way this is going to succeed is by ensuring the games future as an entertaining TV sport.

For the neutrals, tonight would have been good to watch on TV. For those of us at the game, who've been watching the game long enough, you could feel the momentum shift as a result of the BS that the officials carry on with, and it was always going to be a struggle for us to hold firm.

I'll even go back three weeks - the Fox wasn't out. Touchy called it, but if he didn't, the bunker still would have ruled in our favour. That call was just the officials giving us something back, because by hell they haven't given us much else this year.

The entire team must be absolutely shattered !

In the same fashion that we say a win is a win (often when we manage to Jag one with our crap style of play), well a loss is a loss regardless of the fashion it comes.

There were still many many dumb moments in tonight's game that we produce week on week such as:

- Suli not passing to Sloan when he'd score untouched.

- Kyle kicking out on the full which lead to a dog's try.

- Kyle kicking a bomb which went nowhere and then giving away a penalty when he launches himself at Harry Hayes' forehead.

- Getting a crucial penalty in the second half only for Kyle to shank the touch finder so we only get a 10 meter advantage.

- Allan not leaping from the in-goal to take a bomb which gives away a line drop out and leads to the match winning try.

- Sloan coming off his wing and letting their winger score untouched.

- Poor last tackle options, including getting tackled on the last, kicking straight to Crichton across field and just watching him catch it.

- Gutho deciding to go short on that drop out at the end and then not even kicking it 10 metres.

- Poor defensive reads and miss tackles on the other dogs tries.

If all of the above impressed you, you're very easily pleased.
The one that did my head in was Flanagan being offside on an attacking bomb and giving away the penalty. Liddle catching the ball from a knock on and giving away the penalty. We were really dumb. So were the dogs. But in the end, Sloan ducked us all

Great of Shane to speak up in the presser.

Give him major credit for that.
Glad he let loose.

Bet that's the last we hear of it though.
The wider rugby league community is dismissive when it comes to us. It'll be just oh well poor dargons then on to the next thing.
Other shit clubs like the Knights and Tigers get this kind of treatment all the time and nobody bats an eyelid.
This club just has to learn from this and not let itself get into these kinds of positions, yet so many times this season it has and always ends up on the wrong side of it .
I'm so pissed off over it and I pay for the privilege of weekend depression, frustration, anger from these of moments while players staff etc get paid to do it.

Yes I forgot that in my list mate, very dumb play from Kyle.

I've just watched Flanno's presser and it's Des Hasleresque, deflecting and blowing up about the Leilua call.
A leader takes responsibility and accountability and doesn't make excuses.

Fix all the dumb shit we did for the remainder of the game and we win regardless, Cooper Cronk just said the same thing and as we know he is a true champion and leader.

Glad to see Flanno unload on the referees in the press conference.
Nup, no excuse for his dumb ass coaching and certainly didn't cost us the game as much as all the other countless dumb moments do.

Dragons supporters are better than falling in to that loser victim mentality, we should've been better and we should've won, plain and simple.
