A decent coach would rectify these short comings and teach him to stay on a wing.

Many on here thought Flanagan would get Sloan to live up to his potential, he hasn't been able to and that's down to his poor coaching and man management skills.
If you think that's on Flanno you're seriously deluded he was only picked because of injuries tonight he is a useless pea heart which is why he's been given the flick (BY FLANNO) hell even Griffin knew he was useless and only picked him when Ramsay was injured. You've made it an art form making it Flannos fault every little thing does he have his shortcomings as a coach absolutely! To suggest it's his fault when Sloane played the same or dare I say worse football and every other coach we've had Flanno tried to experiment with him on the wing it failed he's gone but hey I'm sure you'd be happy to blame Flanno for the weather if you could I asked who do you think should be our coach if you didn't bother to answer find a new hobby your shtick is old and tiresome.

I can’t believe all the negative comments on here. That was one of our better games in a long time and in the end we were just unlucky and were on the wrong side of a couple of dud calls
Attack was sharp and defensively we were very solid all game.
I’m not going to single out any players because they all put in tonight and that’s all I want when they put that jersey on.

A good coach improves players it's a simple as that.
(1+1=2 🙂)

Flanagan has not improved Sloan under his tutelage which is another example of why he is a bad coach.
(2+2=4 🙂)

I've provided suggestions on future coaches/methods to improve the club plenty of times, go back and have a read if you're that interested in my opinion.

You must have been watching a different game to me, Sloan played one of his better games. Clutching at straws

You call it gutsy, I'll call it getting extremely favourable officiating all through the second half to get us back in the game. You and others are quick to call out when decisions go against us, but when all the calls go our way you don't seem to recognise it.

Any decent team with all that referee backed momentum in the second half would've won by 10+

It was just another sub par performance from us under this rubbish coach, not gutsy in any sense.
Very true. But all of a sudden, a crucial penalty against leilua that put the grubs on the attack. It’s obvious these cheating refs want a grand stand finish. They want this sport to be like American football. It’s f**king rigged

Season over and more pain for the supporters… little to look forward again…
The club is a disgrace
Not sure what will impress some dragons supporters - we take on the top team with a key out and because of a dumb bunker on a guy who doesn’t stand to play the ball we get done by 2. I, for one, am proud of my team! Many of you were predicting a 40 point loss.

Sloan is absolute crap and has lost at least 3 games single handedly this year…. should never be picked in first grade again….. his move to come in tonight is exactly what he did twice last week to allow 2 tries to be scored… game lost again… is he so DUMB he just doesn’t learn.. maybe his background

In the same fashion that we say a win is a win (often when we manage to Jag one with our crap style of play), well a loss is a loss regardless of the fashion it comes.

There were still many many dumb moments in tonight's game that we produce week on week such as:

- Suli not passing to Sloan when he'd score untouched.

- Kyle kicking out on the full which lead to a dog's try.

- Kyle kicking a bomb which went nowhere and then giving away a penalty when he launches himself at Harry Hayes' forehead.

- Getting a crucial penalty in the second half only for Kyle to shank the touch finder so we only get a 10 meter advantage.

- Allan not leaping from the in-goal to take a bomb which gives away a line drop out and leads to the match winning try.

- Sloan coming off his wing and letting their winger score untouched.

- Poor last tackle options, including getting tackled on the last, kicking straight to Crichton across field and just watching him catch it.

- Gutho deciding to go short on that drop out at the end and then not even kicking it 10 metres.

- Poor defensive reads and miss tackles on the other dogs tries.

If all of the above impressed you, you're very easily pleased.
