Feel a bit sorry for coach Flanagan. Pacing up and down in the coaches box with a twitching upper lip. IIRC he’s a plumber by trade so at least he has options. Unlike most coaches. Referees are over coached to the point of second guessing themselves. If you showed the Kiraz ptb to 100 genuine NRL supporters , 99 would immediately say it’s a penalty to the Dragons for planting the ball while on your knees instead of getting to your feet. The other 1 would think about giving a penalty to the Bulldogs before changing their mind and awarding a penalty to the Dragons. Especially after banging on all year about the so called new strict interpretation of the ptb rule.
