We have 18 available players from our squad of 35 (top 30 + devs). Should be interesting. A couple of debuts likely. Or A-graders. Or whatever.

Makes no difference. We'll battle hard for 20-25 mins and then Cronulla will run away with it. They love a downhill ski so it could be a big score.

Will the ghosts of Gosford spook the Sharks?
Will Wayne make any pose other than a gen z stare whenever the cameras go to the coaches box?
Will the thread go longer than 8 pages?
Will there be a Nable promo longer than 15 seconds to get us all hyped?
If the Sharks lose will there be posts by more than 2 of their fans after the game?
How many times will Souths fans post about the number of players unavailable due to injury?

Ghosts of Gosford? They're called smack heads and the Shire brethren will feel right at home.

Bring on the sledging. ;)

The Raiders have been given a boost in their bid to break their finals drought

what, our 1 year finals drought? well researched article....

Fox and the DT are probably making the bold prediction that the Raiders from Canberra could even possibly.... maybe make.......................... the TOP 4!!

1) I hazard a guess that what they should have said was premiership drought, or winning finals drought maybe? Gold standard journalism they are not.

2) That article was from the preseason. I sense from your post you may not have picked up on that. Frankly, leading the comp after being given what was rated in preseason as the 2nd worst draw makes the Raiders season to date an even greater feat.

Just my thoughts.

It only took Humphreys, Walker, Sullivan, Mitchell and Gray to be injured to give Dodd a shot lol
Gray is back baby! At fullback. Lets hope Dodd finally fires rather than just passes and kicks averagely or it might be him that ends up getting shot. I am yet to see any kind of spark or real game to him as yet but hope to be surprised by a better show of his talent in this game.

Thank goodness he is or we legit couldn't have named a team.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wayne pulls last minute shenanigans and Ashton Ward starts at 7 with Dodd on the bench instead!

Shitposting aside Souths injury toll has been insane.
Shitposting aside, I've seen nothing like it. There's been insane injury tolls before, but we've basically had at least 10 of our Top 30 unavailable every game this year.

Then you look at our recent recruits, who have been able to play most of the year uninjured - Dodd, Hubner, Wighton, Humphreys, etc.

Points to some rubbish S&C going on at the club

Ward is there currently as a backup option in case Dodd misfires as I see it. He's a great little player and has shown much more attacking spark and nous in reggies. But little is the operative word - there's not much of him. I look at that bench up against a very big Sharks pack and feel we need another forward in there and might still but for now, in Wayne we trust.
