Why are they doing this and not spending the money in New Zealand (outside Auckland)

Just stupid

I know I’ve been pushing Boyd but he was awful yesterday can’t see them doing anything in the finals with that choker

But Erin Clarke and especially Lakisima are the bright points for future seasons
seems dumb, revenge for aussie clubs raiding NZ maybe lol

wonder how this even happened. on a serious note isn't this the footy area redbear says he invests in?
crazy that cam smith was integral to this pathway happening. just shows he still has resentment for being turned down by broncos all those years ago

I do. I’m a tad disappointed to be honest; there was a verbal unwritten agreement between certain stakeholders to ensure Logan stays as either a Broncos or Titans hub.

However there is a massive Pasifika island heritage population that reside there.

Just to confirm; this deal is directly between Logan City Council via Jon Raven (Logan Mayor) and Warriors. Ausbuild will construct the infrastructure. It’ll be for a field and an office space. Likely around Browns Plains. The deal has zero to do with the QRL and by extension Souths Logan Magpies (which is the Q-Cup side representing the region and district).

As I said months ago; Logan is all over the shop with how the rugby league pathways are streamlined. Easts Tigers, Wynnum-Manly Seagulls, Souths Logan Magpies all have various junior clubs and schools aligned to them in the region and by extension that means any school or JRL club aligned to say Tigers is technically and contractually aligned to Storm, Magpies/Seagulls to Broncos and so on and so forth. This just adds yet another layer.

The particulars of this agreement is a strange one because Warriors won’t have any local clubs, or schools aligned to them but will have scouts located in these newly built offices to operate from. This agreement between Logan and Warriors will affect the Broncos more than the Titans. However there’s nothing stopping Broncos doing the exact same thing somewhere in Auckland, or Wellington tbh.

For the record; if these verbal agreements hadn’t been in place then I’d have pushed for the area to feed into the Perth Bears. Mal would have endorsed it. Shame that the council said screw it and did their own thing. What can you do.

Agree about Boyd. Hopefully he pulls the trigger on who should have been the halfback all year- Te Mari Martin.
At least this way he's fresh and uninjured...perhaps that was the boss chess move all along, fingers crossed.

Just need to get more juniors like Lakisima

What a beast

Reminds me of lauititi / palaesina

Surely they’ve got some more stacked kiwi talent lurking in the lower grades

I spoke to mal and he called BS on what you say. Mal said something about a podium and that he was buggered and then he walked off..

poor mary pippen, they have become another obsessive poster. they suck at everything they attempt in life, genuinely have zero upside to their existence so they must try to discredit other posters to make themselves feel better. poor mary pippens.

Nothing short of what would be described as a boom for Rugby league in NZ. Going absolutely nuts! This is on the back of previously strong years of growth since Covid. Viewership up 13% also, revenue up, the Women's game going gangbusters and they've just introduced an NRLW team.

I can see why Te kah made way for the exit..
Matua now also a noted absentee...

Rugby League can and will lap Union for popularity in NZ .. only question is when.

That’s great news. Finally some real evidence of growth. It’s been difficult to find
