According to NRL Physio, Souths have created a new season record with 15 players unavailable for selection within a single week.

So far collectively. Souths players have missed 209 games this season. Second are the Roosters on 134.

Well here we are Game Day is upon us as we take on the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks in Round 21 up in Gosford. For us it has been a tough year what is it now 7 losses in a row! We thought last years injuries were bad but this year is a whole other level. We are fast running out of players and have a full 17 out basically. Coming into tonight I just ask the boys to have a go and show pride in the jersey. We are coming up against a Sharks side that I believe is still a top 6 side in this comp. They had a strong win over the Roosters last week and have strength and strike all over the park. I must say it’s hard to feel to excited or pumped about tonight I’m feeling a bit flat but the boys can only do their best.

Looking at the Sharks they have such a strong pack in AFB, McInnes, B. Brailey who has been in great form, Oregon, Wilton etc and they have a strong bench as well. Then in the halves they have Trindall and Hynes who form a very good combo. And out wide they’re fast and athletic as well so they’ll pose questions to us for the full 80mins. Give them too much ball and they will make you pay. When they turn it on they can be very hard to stop. For us it’s good to get Jye back that’s a boost. We will get to see Lewis get a go as well which will be good to see what he can do. Ashton as well on his debut I wish him all the best he’s certainly worked hard for this opportunity. Losing Keaon in the pack is a very big blow. If we are to be in the game in periods we need our pack to stand up and dig in which is no easy task without the likes of Murray, Keaon and Cheese. You never know miracles happen and you just dunno when one might happen.

Ok not long til the players run on here onto Polytec Stadium on this Saturday Night here in Gosford. Great to see so much red and green in the stands here in support for the men in the mighty Cardinal and Myrtle. Let’s do all we can in the stands to help get the boys the 2 competition points tonight. Let’s hear that South Sydney chant loud and proud here tonight and let’s make sure everyone watching at home knows this is a South Sydney home game.

Ok as we look down the tunnel here at Polytec Stadium we can see the boys from the shire making their way down the tunnel. Rabbitohs Members Rabbitohs Supporters please give a warm South Sydney welcome to the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks…………….
