Don't know , all I know he is being used wrong ....... The guy is big and can ball play but we don't see much of it ...... Why not 30 m out scrum throw him in at 5/8 and give him options ....... He can be dangerous that close with room to move .......
i swear he should play 6 and LKT 7
at least takes the line on and can kick better then our current 7.

A move to prop been mooted by many of us before throughout the season. Luch is skilful but his bulk limits his edge forward speed and work rate. Very few if any of the top edge forwards these days (Nikora, Kikau, Manly unpronounceable,) look anything like Luch- who could be more aptly nicknamed- lunch. He's the Artie Beetson of the 2020s. Off the bench, limited minutes, prop rotation for mine.

We have been missing a big prop who can break the defensive line, off-load the ball, and defense with a great deal of force all season. We have had plenty of opportunity to move Leilua to the middle and test this theory.

We are now very short on props, so I suggest we move Leilua to te prop rotation right away.

Did you know that Alfred Russel Wallace came up with the theory of evolution by natural selection just before Charles Darwin did, but he helped contribute to Darwin's work and remained content to live in his shadow? Well this is kinda like that. I had the same thought as you about Luciano on the weekend but since you've made the thread I'm happy to stay in your shadow.

In short, I think it's a great idea. Gets Egan into the starting side on that left edge and Luch can be a real point of difference coming off the bench with his size and soft hands in the middle. I like it a lot

He should be playing as a ball playing lock in nsw cup next year. Rather get games into our youngsters tbh. I also want Stewart to develop his ball playing skills in game rather than deferring to someone like Luch.

My ideal pack would be:
Sele/Couchman
Egan/Stewart/Sua

Loko
Nick T
Couchman
Klemmer/Guler/utility

Both Loko & Stewart are big units, especially with another off-season developing their bodies. Sua is a big edge too while the rest have mobility & good footwork. I don't see a need for Luch in our top 17 next year but would be handy depth.

No , he would be expected to make the hard yards against opponents who are built far more solidly than he is .

The engine room is reserved for the true work horses of the team , toughness , ability to take the ball up constantly with only the occasional bench rotation for a breather .

Middle forward is where he has the room to use those silky skills of his .
