Only thing that would make sense is if Sifa has an offer we can't match and wants to leave. I have heard from good sources about how much Fitz loves him. I don't want to lose Sifa at all.

Sifa and BHU walking out the door would free up 1 million plus in cap room though. You wouldn't be freeing up the space unless you had something planned.
Kennedy and Stonestreet maybe

Hynes best year when he had Moyza firing.

Hynes is starting to slow down already like Moyza if he sees his contract out he will be that slow.

Let's hope Mal starts looking for shark players for Perth, there is a few who can go, we need a shake up.
The risk is let both Trindall/Hynes go punt on Pollard/Ford.
We could try and persuade Luai to play 5/8 outside Pollard, or is it he is only good with Cleary
Our halves and fullback have all peaked.

Fitz if true moving Talakai on is wrong, I would be concerned re AFB he does not see out contracts.
Ramien can go, we keep getting told we have gun centres coming through, let's start seeing them.

Uele has been at the club for ages, he was to be the main prop, this stat is glaring he has started more from the bench then as a starting prop.
And added to that is on dollars a starter should get.
I cant even remember last time he put in a big game, something worthy of being a key player in the field

BHU ran hard once. Guy would bust them every game, was constantly making breaks in the middle of the park and a bit of a try scorer.

Ramien ran harder.
Was the leading tackle buster in the comp at the knights. Farker just runs sideways now or in circles.

We're seeing less and less of nikoras strong bursts back through the line.

Mcplod just trundles and falls over his own feet.

AFB is a consistent 3 man tackle to stop but he doesn't get the head of steam up he did at the Wahs - it's more leg strength.

Trindall won't run.

Hynes ain't slow - he just refuses to run hard. Or fast. He got injured once and didn't like it so its soft trundles sideways and fold.

Sifa puts in. He has one speed and no brakes.

I don’t think he’s slow. But he looks like he runs cautiously. Never used to do that. Whether it’s confidence from injuries or overall form drop off.

The rest also accurate. I question whether the desire is really there. They’ve been there or there abouts each year for a while now and seem to accept it.

Compare it to the enthusiasm / tenacity of Canberra or the dogs who haven’t had such “success” of late and it’s glaringly obvious.

Sifa hasnt shown his worth this season because I bet he is on overs after signing when he was is in great form. Shame as he is one of my favourite players and I cant see him staying if a good offer comes in.
and again,Why the fk did they re sign BHU?

We have to also remember we have some cracking young guys coming through the lower grades that we’ll need money for. They will get great offers from the usual vulture Clubs and the new franchises.

So we have to think about having some ammunition to use on their upgrades and most importantly squad spots. The next generation is the key for our next sustained run at finals footy.

How many cracking young guys have we had before that never kicked on.

Sifa is proven. Not his fault fitzy can't work a bench

Sifa wouldn’t be in my top 12 players to move on. He’s been consistently in our top 3 best players all season even with his reduced minutes this season.

I’m just saying I understand the reasoning to tapping a few guys on the shoulder especially in the forwards to free up cap space and squad positions.

You always have to back the upside of classy younger players over players on the down curve in their career like BHU, Toby, Ramien etc. They’re not our future.

You just have to identify the right young players so it’s less a gamble. That’s the tricky part. But the upside to the team can be huge.

He's signed for next year, none of the young forwards are screaming for promotion for mine, and we will likely lose Burns and possibly BHU so they can take one of those spots.

There is a few young forwards ready for next year, espically the way Fitz runs the bench if your the 4th players it what 15 mins max.
10 before half time, and say 5 afterwards depending how game is going

It's timing and sliding doors.
I think all of us were prepared to see how it went, as per the narrative that Fitz had going in the pressers "only played so many games together"
Then there was the push for Tricky to be the man, which was following the media via Joey Johns.
Me personally? I would have really liked to see what a Hynes/Metcalfe combo would have come up with. Unfortunately Lukes continuous injuries, and a higher offer, pushed that story to the Wahs.
Or maybe se what a Tricky 7, Nicho 6, combo looked like.
Once again, not their choice, the coaches make the end decisions.
Really! There was little support for Metcalfe by those on here. I would have liked to see it but our coach only brought him onto Feild 8min from the end of us loosing. Then he goes to the Warr’s where hhis speed appreciated, something we miss. But I give up , just put BB at 7 .

Metcalf signed with the Warriors before Fitz took over as coach so not sure what you wanted him to do
