It's not like meeting Trump actually achieves anything, anyway...
Being behind El Salvador, Senegal, Liberia, Mauritania, Gabon and Guinea-Bissau should sharpen Albo's focus. None of those are in the world's 20 most important countries either but still well ahead of us.It's not like meeting Trump actually achieves anything, anyway...
We often delude ourselves, as we're not one of the world's 20 most important countries in the scheme of things anyway.
Dumb as dogshit article. Rupert is trying to spin this as a loss.

Important to America, i.e. important for Trump to get a "deal" with.Being behind El Salvador, Senegal, Liberia, Mauritania, Gabon and Guinea-Bissau should sharpen Albo's focus. None of those are in the world's 20 most important countries either but still well ahead of us.
Last I looked Rudd's still ambassador to the US and hasn't been hiding? And there's no situation to sort out...Has that useless f**kwit Rudd crawled out from under his bed yet? Assume it's part of his duties to sort this situation out.
But we have access to heaps better food as a result.Supply and demand is a fairly simple thing.
Bringing in immigrants is great for the middle class and upper class. It really is a beautiful thing. Their assets increase in value and so does their quality of life. Plus it isnt like they settle in their areas.
But it's not so good for the average working class/ lower class Aussie. They now have three times as many people to compete with. Higher house prices, rent, cost of living. All fine if have a passive income that increases due to immigration but for those with nothing not so good.
Don't be a fool and think immigration is about choosing to give people from a 3rd world a better life. Let's just call it what it is.
A money printing machine for the wealthy and a decrease of living standards for everyone else.
But we have access to heaps better food as a result.
I have no issue with immigration - none of us would be here without it.
All of that would still happen with no immigration. That's the basis of capitalism - exploit the lower classes for profit - and migrants generally through disadvantage are part of the lower classes on arrival anywhere. That's fine. Bring more in and upper class wealth increases and gap widens. They collect more assets.
While lower class wages stall, house prices increase, rent increaes.
They aren't bringing in people to compete with middle or upper class. They are mostly competing with the Lower class. You do see the problem right?
The part where people get fooled is when the powerful classes - through their media ownership among other means - get the lower classes to fight among themselves about things, like immigration, instead of reaching their potential band together and rise up to fight the power and challenge the status quo.It has nothing to do with racism. It is about equality. No offence but it sounds like you've been fooled.

So why should people be manipulated to be divided?Nobody is banding together and rising up to fight anyhting. That is fantasy and isn't going to happen.
It's also got nothing to do with immigration - it's to do with capitalism, and would happen regardless of our migration intake levels. If you feel 1 million dollars for an average home is a good thing that thats fine. I don't.
