Isn't 2027 Melbourne's Origin year? Surely NZ can replace Adelaide in the Origin rotation. Maybe Melbourne replaces Adelaide next year and NZ takes 2027.

I'd rather Melbourne and Perth have an Origin every three years min, not 4, so NZ would have to replace Adelaide rather than be in addition to it.

I mean traditionally. Origin has been in Melbourne in

2006, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, was scheduled in 2021 until lockdowns, 2024... 2027 would have been Melbourne's year to host

No idea but Derek Beaumont stated yesterday that there has ben no conversation between SL and NRL, and he would know.

It was a non starter when Pvl wanted 100 percent operational control and more so now with woods taking over

allegedly there was a discussion with Wigan at Vegas, Wigan took it back to SL who set up a panel to open dialogue with NRL and they have had no response from NRL. There has been no demand from NRL as there has been zero conversation. Watch his interview.

I've posted the interview in the SL 14 team thread. Its at 59min mark.
Two owners who'd spoken with NRL should explore opportunity further with RFL and couple of other owners and RFL formed a panel.
At recent meeting panel members were asked if progressed at all and the panel reported that there had been no conversation, no feedback and no expression of interest from NRL.
