Big finish

I feel the dogs have peaked. They have no more levels and teams have figured them out.
I think the decision to get Galvin and drop Sexton was unwise, not a coincidence they've looked worse since. I think getting Galvin is going to be a good pick up in the long run but this mid season change to one of your key positions.

Curious on their plans for hooker next year. If they plan to use Hayward as hooker they're in for some pain, can't play big minutes and his passing game is average at best.

Probably looking at jagging B2 or Harry Grant. They leave the Rorters for dead salary cap wise atm

Having Kiraz at #1 is going to hurt - he's no Connor Tracey.
No Connor Tracey for sure and they also miss his hit ups and attack from the wing. I’d be putting Burton at fullback and be playing Galvin and Sexton in the halves. Galvin’s last minute cut out pass against the goons to win them the game masked his mediocre performances. The real test will be against the Wah’s… Rorters…Storm….Pennies and us over the next 5 weeks.

Gee the Titans winning would’ve been great.

That one hurt.

I thought they had them.
Yep Pennies got out of jail big time in that one. I’m still filthy about the trainer thing. While I don’t think it was deliberate….should’ve been another kick in front of the sticks when he missed the goal. Ultimately would have taken the 2 point field goal out of the equation.

Reality is it shouldn't matter to us. You put our bye in and count it today - we are fourth. Hold on and get the f**king job done. The fact that the mainstream media hasn't picked up we have that 2 points up our sleeve shows you how irrelevant everyone thinks we are.

Beat Dragons
Beat Titans
Beat Knights
Probably gets it done. I do like our chances vs the Dogs though.
I don’t think it quite works in terms of adding our bye points now - that only works if the other teams above us also lose on our bye weekend, otherwise, we just stay the same.

Still - win all our games and we have a real good chance of top 4. Reality is, we should have been an absolute walk-in to top 4 given how the comp has played out - we’ve really shot ourselves in the foot with some shite performances against shite teams.

I’ve seen a lot of people talking about this being the best comp in years, I’d say it’s the closest/most even in years, but that’s because the Panthers and Storm have come back to the pack. This is the weakest comp I think I’ve ever seen - lots of ‘ok’ teams in with a shout of winning it, but all will still need Penrith or Storm to continue playing well below their best to have a chance,

We have won 12 games vs their 11. This puts us alongside the Warriors if no points were given for byes. But as you say it makes no difference if we don't win. Storm and Broncos play each other twice. Panthers play Storm, Raiders and dogs. 4th is wide open and the bookies have us at $3 to make it just behind the Panthers at 2.40.

Yes but we’ve played one extra game. That’s one extra chance to get another win. The bye only helps us if the teams above us lose on our bye week.

Exactly what I was saying. Which means we need both Warriors and Panthers to lose to jump to 4th.
I think the reality is, we’ll need both Dogs and Warriors to crash and burn so that both us and Panthers hit the top 4, though Panthers do have a tough last 3 games.

Penrith will win every regular season game from here I think. They just know how to get it done when it matters. If they finish top 4 you may as well hand it to them

I dunno if the Pennies have the consistency atm to get past the Dogs….Raiders and Storm in consecutive weeks. They were extremely fortunate to get past the Gold Coast on the weekend. I also think injuries will play a significant part in the run to the semis. Storm aren’t the same without Hughes and the Dolphin’s lost Herbie last week etc. As far as it being the weakest comp ever…pffftt. Been a long time since we’ve been about a month out from the semis and possibly 5 or 6 sides could could realistically win the comp. I love the unpredictability and evenness of the comp.
