Our 21st game of the season, and just our 7th against one of our fellow bottom 9 sides. By far the least in the NRL.

We haven't lost to the Titans since 2016. We haven't lost to the Titans on the Gold Coast since 2009.

But this is by no means the Souths of the past. Hopefully we get some players back.

Re - effort, Souths put in a herculian effort against the Sharks 2 weeks ago and were in it 2 tries to 3 at HT against the Broncs. The dam broke in the 2nd half against the Broncos but still, Souths have had good fight in them the past few weeks and will be right up for this one you can guarantee.

Titans have Campbell and Brimson on fire though so it will be tough.

Souths descend into hell continues. Weird season for them.

Still a coin flip. Suppose I'll go Souths by 4.

Khan-Perrera against Bentley-Hape. A Maserati versus a Volkswagon when it comes to pace. Not sure Wayne will go with that at kick-off. Might need to recall Munro. Or stick Gray out on the right wing if Mitchell is declared fit.

And 3 hookers? Reminds me of a few jokes actually ...

I reckon Smith starts and Havili comes off the bench in the middle rotation.

Gotta say that extra time field goal to beat Penrith in extra time in the 2023 Club Challenge turned into a nice little money earner for Lewis Dodd.
That was a really good match too. St Helens matched the (dare I say it) physicality of the Panthers. Gus predicted a few days before the match that Penrith would probably declare at half time.

Glorified trial match that only the underdogs give a rat's about.

Dodd was such a hair-brained, desperado signing which they should have held off until after Wayne was signed, sealed, delivered and most importantly, consulted. I don't recall anyone else looking to get him apart from Souths so why the haste?

f**king inexplicable really. And for so much too? He probably would have signed for a case of warm piss just to get a crack at the big time. f**k me!
