How about he stays on the bench and comes on where best suited in that particular game? He best skill is being a madman. I want to see him take on some middles. Especially teams like Melbourne, let's get him ripping into Harry Grant.
I hate him off the bench to be honest, I think it’s waste of talent. I’ve heard he’s carrying an injury, so hopefully he’s back to the starting side as soon as he’s fit.

Jack Cogger, Brad Schneider and Sean O’Sullivan all tipped for new homes in 2026

Premiership-winning half Jack Cogger is eyeing a shock return to Penrith, triggering a chain reaction of player movements across three NRL clubs.

Penrith premiership winner Jack Cogger is closing in on a return to the club, sparking a three-way halves frenzy involving the Dolphins and potentially the Canterbury Bulldogs.
It is understood that Cogger has held talks about returning to Penrith which would see him leave the Knights 12 months before his contract expires.
Penrith back-up half Brad Schneider is having talks with the Dolphins while Dolphins half Sean O’Sullivan has been linked with a move to Canterbury.

Cogger, who turned 28 on Tuesday, is in the midst of his second stint at the Knights having joined them from Penrith last year.
He originally signed a three-year contract at Newcastle but will be relegated to back-up half next year given the impending arrival of Dylan Brown.
Cogger played a key part in Penrith’s 2023 come from behind grand final win when he started off the bench which helped spark Nathan Cleary to life.
Given Schneider looks destined for the Dolphins it has opened up the potential for Cogger to make a Penrith return.
Schneider was unused on the Penrith bench during last year’s premiership decider and has shown his versatility in recent weeks, playing half and some hooker for the Panthers.
It is understood his move to the Dolphins would be for 12 months after the club missed out on Englishman George Williams.

Warrington and the Dolphins were unable to agree to a transfer fee for the Dolphins to land Williams with 12 months left on his contract.

It has kept the door ajar for Williams to sign with the club for 2027. Schneider has proven to be a solid back-up to Cleary playing 26 games in the past two years.
O’Sullivan, himself a former Panther, has been on the Bulldogs’ radar for some time. One of the smartest halves in the game, he would be the ideal mentor for young stars Lachlan Galvin and Mitchell Woods as they transition into the club’s long-term halves combination.

They're all solid guys to have in the squad, as long as we've got one of their ilk we're fine. Certainly wouldn't want to be in Newcastle's position of rotating between Arthur, Cogger, Hastings, Crossland, Gamble and whatever other bog average halves they've used this year.

Probably better than paying Dylan Brown what they have........he'll be the highest paid player in the game next year.......

I can’t find any details either, but seem to remember 400k a season or something near that. Could be wrong, but think he signed 3 seasons on decent money after his GF heroics.

Maybe.

Anything is possible with the Knights. They are paying Hetherington $550k this year. Hastings on $800k.
I think the Tigers may have been interested too back then. Pushing up his price?

He was up for sale a few months back with no takers. My guess is they are probably paying some freight to move him on. We don't usually shell out for backup.

Cogger offered more than Schneider. But no thanks.

We send Brad Schneider to Dolphins. They send Katoa home. Straight swap. Its a good deal. He’s a premiership winner.
And Blaize to fullback in 2027 when Dyl takes up a 2 mil per year deal with Perth.

A win for everyone

Dyl and yeo need to be with us to the end and then both put straight into coaching roles in the juniors and work thier way up..

Both have the work ethic and culture to keep youngsters on track and developing players for us for years to come.
Dyl can get a pay day then come back. I think he'll hit a wall HARD at some point.
