Thanks ........Prop for penrith
Thanks ........Prop for penrith
Wow, I've never seen you write anything like this beforeOur forward pack now just needs a good alpha prop and a clean out of dead wood.

I don’t think he is free to look elsewhere, I think his management states he was gonna test the open marketWheres it reported Liam Henry is free to look elsewhere? Swear only last year he was being heralded as a future origin player. Would rate the signing but I’m not sure why Penrith would be letting him go?
= SloanI think Chevy Stewart is a must
They have signed another hackup halfback.Wheres it reported Liam Henry is free to look elsewhere? Swear only last year he was being heralded as a future origin player. Would rate the signing but I’m not sure why Penrith would be letting him go?
Would be great to land Tino but Canterbury want him and shifty Gould will somehow perform another miracle and squeeze him under their salary cap. I wish I had his accountant.
Saints should everything at Tino's recruitment including a 5 year deal. We fell short on AFB and paid the price all season long. Now we have some great young forwards coming through and need Tino to lead them:Would be great to land Tino but Canterbury want him and shifty Gould will somehow perform another miracle and squeeze him under their salary cap. Simonsen granted by Parramatta to seek options elsewhereFor 2026:
I would definitely be going after Bailey Simonsen, and hopefully his ex-team mates Gutho (Eels) and Guler (Raiders) are on the phone to him at the moment helping Flanno & Ando secure a deal. He is a very good and versatile outside back, who potentially fills a big problem we currently have in our squad.
Toughest part is keeping all these guys.Only posting this in here as I wasn't sure where would be appopriate -

'I owe them a lot': How mates helped Hayden realise NRL dream
Dragons rookie Hayden Buchanan has revealed how fellow Gerringong products Dylan Egan and Hamish Stewart were a driving factor in his journey to the NRL - literally.www.nrl.com
Our priority has always been to sign a marquee prop. Tino is that, and we should sign him to a 5-year deal.I honestly don't believe anything Buzz Rothfield says. Like all year he's been drumming up Brad Arthur for every single coaching job that is supposedly coming available... only for him to now re-sign with Leeds and those coaching positions either filled or unclear in terms of which direction the clubs will go.
As much as Tino would be great for the club, this also has danger to put our cap well out of whack for future years if we go in hard and pay overs. Doesn't leave a lot of flexibility, particularly when you try to balance your forward pack.
I trust our local junior forwards to continue developing. Develop, promote & re-sign these guys in these guys in the right way, they will all want to stay simply because they are locals and love the club.
Also, regardless of whether we do land Tino + any other "star players", we need to keep our expectations in check - expect further improvement in 2026 (goal has to be to play finals no matter where it is we might finish in the 8) but a premiership is highly doubtful (in fact unless the Bears & PNG franchises somehow raid Penriths junior stocks and attract one or two of their current stars each I'm still doubtful as to whether anyone is going to beat the Panthers before at least 2028).
For 2026:

We do need some sort of enforcer in our pack. Whether the club is set on Tino if he does come available, or whether we have to wait until someone gets shaken out of the tree, remains to be seen.
For 2027:
Yes, Metcalf & Coates have to be targets, and deals will probably need to be cut as soon as they can start talking come 1st November 2025.
There is reason to be optimistic !
I believe he is next up to our 2026 Centers Holmes and Gutherson. He is in the perfect position given his age and experience.Toughest part is keeping all these guys.
He is still behind, Suli, Holmes and maybe Nick for a start. Great to have depth, he's young so hopefully he sticks around for a while to get a start before looking elsewhere.
I understand the positional changes however I really can't see the coach moving Gutherson from the no.1 jersey.I believe he is next up to our 2026 Centers Holmes and Gutherson. He is in the perfect position given his age and experience.
I totally agree with the signing of Simonsen. He is uncompromising with his ball carries and is great in defence, always giving a good whack.
