Reason why I appreciate him. We’ve had players in past with potential competition who have played seasons like busteds and not been dropped.
Kautoga has had no real competition to his spot yet was steadily improving.
Whether that was just luck/is sustainable, we’ll find out but he deserves some respect for doing it this year.
He’s certainly not untouchable but he’s far from first dropped.
I think to a degree though at this stage they’re competing against one another, with Doorey depending on rotations. Doorey can fill an edge but on straight middle, he’s obviously behind the other two. One of them (or better yet both) need to really improve their work rates to be anything other than the 15/16 jerseys.
