Yeah it’s a good result for us. It’s kinda weird because I see so many people talking about how we haven’t been that good (and I tend to agree) but we’re a decent chance of being minor premiers with by far the best for and against.

The big question is can we stand up in the big game. It feels like every year we are potentially the best team alongside the panthers but just don’t have that extra gear to kick on.

I don’t think they have been that good, it’s more that the comp is pretty weak. On paper storm should be $1.20 to win the whole thing

Melbourne fans will be stoked when they turn their phones on again in the morning after they went to bed after 15 minutes

I have to say, the last 4-5 minutes of regular time when the scores are tied, and golden point, are a pretty tough watch when it comes to field goals and the blatant offsides/not square at marker that goes on
It's just boring too. Have to accept it as part of the game but I feel like GP has made me hate field goal shootouts. Always pleased when an unexpected try wins GP.

He wasn’t blocked. He had a clear run past him and when he realised he wasn’t going to get to Cleary he stuck his arm out to make contact.

I hate Melbourne more than any team and his is a wild take.

Grant did what Leota allowed him to do by making an illegal block play

Exactly. He even looked guilty standing there and to compound his misery he moved when he realised he hadn’t quite blocked enough. It was a cynical play by Penrith and they got caught red handed.

I’d have happily taken the draw at 80. Thrilled with the win but I’d be going to bed happy with a point as well

Klein did best to gift penrith it with that dud neck penalty, evened it up with the grant dive.
