Eels 05? didnt they get thrashed by the Cowboys in the prelim

I was at that game. What a disaster. 29-0 I think. Tim Smith had a mare.

I'll never forget the Parra fan seated near us. He kept standing up and slamming the absolute shit out of the plastic chair he was seated on. And then he put his thumb in his mouth and kept biting down on it until he started to bleed...crazy stuff.

Tim Smith, what a sad story, could have been anything

I was preparing to book tickets to Tassie that weekend if Parra and St George won! Disaster averted!

No offence to him but I assume he had special needs. I've never seen someone literally hurt themselves over a game of footy. His thumb was f**ked.

It was a bit scary. All the families cleared out and gave him plenty of room. Security were scared too so they left him alone. He left around the 70th minute. Probably to grab a bandage.

Raiders look they’re practising for the finals. Operating in a narrow 15m corridor up the middle for the 1st half hour. No expansive stuff at all. Expect them to unleash in the 2nd half.

BTW this ref is out of his depth. Went from reacting to the players appeals to ignoring genuine set restarts then back to reacting to the players. Apparently most people turned up to watch him in “action” rather than the Raiders.

Jed Stuart has been great with his positional play in defence. Hasn’t had to make many tackles because he knows how to back off and not commit himself unnecessarily. All NRL wingers should take note.

I still remember Paul Osborne first up from a spell in the grand final, running the final furlong in 5 seconds after struggling in maidens before the spell.
