All of those mentioned had a specific quality about them as individuals and the 2009,10,11 packs had the luxury of a pack where all those individuals all complimented each other including the reserves and for that reason Saffy, Prior and Green should not be forgotten for playing their roles.

Weyman was the absolute metre eater and one of my favourite dragons of all time.

Beau Scott was a bully and scary af on that edge on defence. Bennett created a real deterrent to anyone trying send traffic at Soward.

Outside that premiership side, Justin Poore was huge for us before leaving for eels. What a sliding door moment for him and us

Costigan, Weyman, Creagh, Scott & Matt Prior - a very underrated player who we decided we didn't need and who won another premiership with the Scum.
JdB gives his all, Leeson Ah Mau had his moments - as did Tariq.
The new breed give me Bath's Babe vibes, and I look forward to the premiership-winning pack of Egan, R Couchmen, Tsougranis, LPT, Liddle & T Couchmen with Halangahu, Jett Liu and Stanley-Traill coming off the bench.
Good times ahead, if we have the halves to capitalise on this forward pack.
Urgently needed - the Shulman, Trudgett, O'Grady type.

Agreed those two were a huge reason for our success in the 00's. This thread actually made me look back at the 2000 team and there were a number of debutants that year that went on to form the nucleus for our squad over the next decade - Ryles, Bull, Hornby, Gaz, Coops. Plus alot of the rest of the squad was quite young - Barrett, Lance, Patten etc were all 22 years or younger. I remember looking through RLW (or maybe it was Big League) at the time and the total number of games experience for the team each week was always much less than our opponents. Reminds me a little bit of where we are at the moment with so many young guys coming through. Let's hope half of this current crop can be as good

I remember a year (under Brown?) that had a lot of injuries, and guys like Cooper and Gas and others got games probably before they were due. It paid off long term though.

I hope it works again over the next couple of years.

Good young players however no Weyman, Smith types in that group, Dragons really need a dominant Prop or 2
