Rd.27 v Dragons

I don’t like the disregard for this game. I want them to beat the Dragons which they would do if they pick a half decent team. I can’t see them winning 4 straight finals after losing the last 4 regular season games. It’s also hard for me to conceive of a team who wins just 12 regular season games winning a comp. If any other team I’d actually be against such a side winning it.

4 straight premierships>Last 4 games of the 2025 season. For that reason I can't see confidence being an issue.

The two losses we had were against premiership contenders and we took them to the brink. Its clear that fatigue played a huge role in our demise in those two matches. Don't need to look any further than the late game mistakes made by two of our very best in Cleary and Edwards.

It might not look pretty but that isn't what winning premierships is about. If they win it with 12 regular season wins so be it, its just a number. Eels had 12 wins in 2009 and only lost to a who were over the cap.

If they think they need longer they'll be rested. Or at least playing on reduced minutes.

Although they're unlikely to play, it's great recognition for Geyer and Price after last week. I thought they both stood up.

If we're really running 'Full strength' (minus Biz and Marto), I'd love to see Laurie at #14, and Patea at #17

Laurie in for Schneider. Just so Edwards or Cleary can get a break. I don't really see any reason for those two to play a full 80 especially if we streak ahead.

BS has had enough minutes at 7. A week off won't hurt him Ivan.

If Daine Laurie isn't a late inclusion for Schneider we dont deserve to win.
Our last hope is that Ivan takes Nath off at halftime and that Schneider is that awful in the second that he has to wake up to himself.

Quite a substantial reserves list there. Wonder if Ivan is playing mind games and going to do a switcheroo with several players closer to game?

I think some changes.

Reserve grade has finished for the year. No finals. So might want some players getting a run this week.

Patea has only been back for 2 weeks I think. Not sure where he is at with his match fitness.

I'd 100% rest Dyl and Yeo though

Yeo with the shoulder sure, i think that might happen anyway with Huth there. If Dylan isnt carrying anything id play him, if he has another shocker id rather it be this week than next. If he has niggles then sure rest, if not let him either find some form or get the last of his wobbles out this week.
