It's a shame clubs go broke when they miss the finals because the (true) fans 'vote with their feet' and refuse to support the club.

“The club is going shit. I hope that no one gives them any money. That way they will become good again.”

M wondering how much of the club’s income comes from ticket sales anyway. Surely it pales in comparison to the money they get from the NRL (TV money), sponsorships, Leagues Club, other investments, etc.

Well, it certainly does when we have been shite for so long.
We really should be pushing positions 3-5 in this list from this season.
Geez, even the Knights have a 5500 better attendance average than us this season.

Our numbers will get back up there. I expect it will begin to do so next season, and then build on that.

I was just wondering how it actually affects the club’s bottom line if the crowd numbers are low. Obviously it would make some sort of a difference, but with so many income streams these days for clubs I’d be interested in what percentage comes from ticket sales.

I hear where you are coming from, but surely game day revenue increasing from a low point 15,000 this season to a potential 20-24,000 average like some other clubs are achieving has to improve our bottom line?
It's not just game day ticket sales, but merchandise, corporate, Leagues Club etc that gets the boost.

Round 2 against the tigers killed the joint this year for crowd attendance.

Getting flogged in Melbourne in Rd 1 was bad

Getting humiliated the following week basically ensured no extras were coming this year and relying on the die hards.

Most fans walked away after round 2 realising we were cooked this year. Hard to get those on the fence to turn up when the season was done and dusted

Also our draw

We got Titans on a Sunday night

Dolphins/Storm on a Thursday night

Lets be honest in a rebuild year we were getting shit numbers regardless.

As usual you are enjoying your favourite sport - trolling and attacking parra fans.

Pou is so lucky to have such a loyal supporter

I’m not commenting on the substantive post, just the loyalty you show by white knighting Pou whilst he naps under a bridge somewhere

T-squint is rational like me. Of course we tend to see things the same way. Just like how you and all the angry dopes share a paradigm of blame and scapegoating. Are you being loyal to the other dopes or do you just find yourself agreeing most of the time?
