Unfair to blame Flanno for Ben h & Lomax leaving. They were trying to get out before he arrived.

I think those in charge held the thought that both Hunt and Lomax are over priced and so, by letting them og St George could replace them with better options. Well:
Sloan failed again - winger
Holmes was injured when we really needed him most.
Gutherson slowed dowan towards the end of this seaon.
Cook made too many mistakes/poor decisions.
Frank Molo left without a suitable replacement.

Lomax was a massive loss. He would have made a difference in 2025. Very poor decision letting him go but the damage was done before Flanno arrived so you cannot blame him.

He asked for multiple releases prior to flanno arriving. The benefit of Ennis is he'll give flanno a different perspective, since he's come from a different club. I think it's important to have fresh voices otherwise it becomes a bit of an echo chamber.

Young needs to go. Appiont Willie Talau as the other assistant coach and then go all out to improve our defence.

Mate whatever happens it just doesn't register the same way it did when I was young.
My heyday was the 80's and '90's.

I used to keep myself updated across all of it. I bought all of the weekly magazines. I watched all of the television shows.

Superleague absolutely shat all over that.
And the loss in '99 pretty much destroyed whatever was left.
So much so that straight after we won in 2010. The very moment the full time whistle went, I turned it off and went to do something else. I felt relief instead of joy. I was actually surprised that I wasn't elated.

These forums certainly helped keep me connected to league though! Especially '04 -'10. The best period of this place without a doubt! LOL!

Feel the same way about 99 - the one that got away. 2010 made up for it for sure but I felt relief and elation that we finally go there.

1985 against those dogs still hurts and the reason I HATE them.
