Tough loss for Leeds this morning cost themselves a chance for a top 2 spot losing to Catalans at home who were coming lowly 9th with 8 wins from 25 before today.

And depending on results could slip to 5th.

Now will have to go straight to the eliminator in a couple weeks when the finals start

Where we are different is that I think it’s unethical to own more than one house. There’s other places you can invest without exacerbating housing affordability. Buy some cheap shitcoins or something.

I also don’t think it’s good that the house I live in (and every other house) keep increasing in price. What’s going to happen when my kids grow up and need somewhere to live.

Politicians should be "forced" to declare how many houses they own. As should anyone else who wants to be a person in society who has some kind of high horse position - for example Peter Fitzsimmons and Lisa Wilkinson.
By "forced" I mean they don't have to declare it but we can then assume the worst. I think Peter and Lisa have built a little fortune in property which is fine but shut the f**k up about inequality.

And this idea that house prices shouldn’t go up is just silly. That’s the whole point of owning an asset—you want it to appreciate. If you’re worried about your kids, then downsize when the time comes and hand them a chunky deposit. Problem solved. And while it isnt the sole reason for housing price increases that are becoming beyond the reach of our kids (with or without parental help), it is a contributor.
