So don’t you think the smart clubs would stop investing in junior ‘development’ (poaching)? Or is it perhaps an area they know they can spend their excess (compared to other clubs) cash outside the top 30 salary cap to gain a benefit to their top 30 squad? The clubs who developed the players are financially penalised in favour of the new clubs.
I’m going to the game. But I will be on my phone watching the stats.Who are we thinking today gents? I’m barracking for Raiders
If I was in Canberra I’d go too.I’m going to the game. But I will be on my phone watching the stats.
Penrith have the luck of the Gods. Finish in 7th spot but get a warriors side missing their best forward and halfback in week 1 and a banged up Bulldog team in week 2.
Just makes them even luckier. They missed all those players and still made the finals. Our best player missed games and we missed the finals.Had the Warriors not had those injuries do you think they finish 6th?
Had Nathan not missed 6 games and Tooʻ missed 11 games would have Penrith finished 7th?

No one remembers the round 12 wooden spooners (unless they go on to win the comp).

We can lovingly resurrect the Ricky thread![]()
It's taken him long enough....ffs!I hope they win. They deserve the title. Ricky had built a side from scratch. Its quite refreshing.
Unbelievable.WTF was that ???
Well it meant I enjoyed the back half of the season more than the first!!It's interesting but is it meaningful? The start vs the finish of the season are small samples of (at most) a dozen games. Results are heavily impacted by player availability and the quality of the opposition (with their own availability challenges or lack thereof).
