Wookie can confirm, but I believe in the past few years even though NRL has been stronger than Alf during the regular season the AFL was beating us easy in the finals ratings. It’s looking a lot closer this year so far though

Nines aggregate overnight #NRL ratings total 4.54m at an average of 908,000. This is up 20% on average YoY, and up 27% on 2023.




Sevens aggregate overnight #AFL finals ratings total 8.345m at an average of 1.043m per match. This is up 7.65% on 2024, but still down 4.18% on 2023 - first VOZ year.

Nah, I don`t think so, the build up and ratings for next week will be massive as the Broncos set out for revenge on the Panthers at the Bronx home ground.

And that's great, but if Penrith keep winning the competition then I don't see that growth continuing. There comes a time when enough is enough and I feel like Penrith is nearing that line atm.

I'm guessing you missed the part when I said they are nearing that line. I never said they crossed it. I hope I'm wrong and:

1. The NRL keeps growing.
2. Some new teams step up and we get more equalisation around the competition.

Maybe they should just ban Penrith for a few years or make them play with 12

If you want to enjoy it go ahead, no one is stopping you. I'm personally bored of watching the same team win year after year and would love to see both the Panthers and Storm drop to the bottom so we can see some new blood dominate.

My point is there will come a time when fans are sick of the Panthers winning it year after year and will turn off the sport. Maybe that's 6, maybe its 7? It's fine to enjoy the success of the Panthers but there comes a point when its just too much and hurts the competition.

You’re right. The NRL must limit Penrith to 12 players NOW!
