Finals week 3 - The beating of the Strom

Storm form line is not very good. Got flogged by the Roosters and Donkeys in the last 2 rounds of the regular season then weren’t great in beating the Dogs in their only semi. Ripe for the picking for a team that has had consecutive convincing wins against the Dogs… Rorters and Raiders. Can Brails continue his unbeaten run as skipper and captain a side in a grand final in his 5th game as captain? I’d say more likely than not assuming we maintain our current defence and attitude. Storm are there for the taking and Bellyache knows it.

Didn't they get beat by the Dargons in a spelling competition.
I've been back on shift work, which I don't handle too well at the start, and I'm watching all these Shark fans clips from the game and they had some bloke with a drum i'm thinking "the beating of the drum.." in my head it became the beating of the Strom, no time to show respect, just beat the f**kers like the beating of that drum

Storms last 3 games of regular season:
Beat dogs who were limping to the line 22-18. Nearly got run down. Chrichton dropped a bomb over the line in last minute.

Thrashed 40-10 by Roosters

Touched up by Broncs 30 - 14

First semi beat a dogs team who were in all sorts by this stage 26 - 18

Anybody get the impression the last thing the Storm needed was a week off ?

A team on the slide to Mad Monday.

Us... we dont want a week off either. For different reasons. We are getting better each game and more confident.
I reckon the boys are itching to get to melbourne. That is a place that holds no fear for the sharks.

I also reckon for Bellamy, we might be the team he least wants to play this week out of the 3 who are left.

He also knows his side couldn't get the job done for his 600th. A club who lives for signpost games. That's a huge sign.
They run out with Hughes and they're a different side.
Expect him to play

Another week where i hope the confidence in here is bang on the money.

We know from experience though that the week off is massive and the prelim teams with the week off do usually get through.

Onward and upward hopefully.

Is that a bit if self selection biais though? Teams with the week off are probably generally the better teams as well.

TLT as expected

OK for Hazo

can’t believe they’ve named Hughes. So dumb. If they play him the poor sod will not play the GF (whether through injury or a Storm loss).

And in great news for all involved the Clown with the whistle will be there to prove the angle.

Hughes is in. Excellent.
broke wrist with metal and pins inserted and don’t think that this isn’t gonna cause him grief.

Will be needled.
Will have no feeling in passing so will do little of that.
Will try to hide him in defence.

Is there for these reasons:
To run.
To provide confidence to a team who is out of form and has been thrashed twice in the last 3 games and cannot win without him.
Bellamy knows their on the ropes and if he doesn't play they dont get past us so irrelevant saving him for the GF.

If we are fair dinkum you squeeze, twist and on the hand in every tackle.
