None. You might have to name 17 players but you don’t have to give them all game time. If you don’t have 17 players good enough you just use 16. We see this in the NRL sometimes.

Talagi got 25 minutes. Samuelu about the same. The whole back row played 80 minutes. Keen to see next week’s side now NRL is over.

Yeah Patrician Brothers Blacktown lost in the final again. PBBC. The chockers.

Yep our players had an ordinary game..

Petrus dropped the ball twice and AJ once when in the attack..

Patties number the scored 2 tries but also let in 3.

Kebra have some decent players I hope we have scouted some of them

Penrith vs Storm into Jersey flegg grand final.
Seems like they have the cream of the crop AGAIN
I know you are taking the piss.....

but anyhow we played Panthers week 1 of flegg, and they dropped 7 players back (happy to be corrected with these details), who played NSW cup the week before (Liddiard, Faeamani, Lamont, bunting, Vailalo, Wigmore, Murphy)....while we had 8 players not available as they were playing NSW cup final (twidle, Nanva, Tatalaina, JFI, Lewis, Samuelu, Talagi, Jim)

The fact the panthers couldn't make NSW cup with their "cream of the crop" while we made the final 3 with our youngsters shows the strength of ours.....I suspect NSW cup performances is better than Flegg performances....

Additionally SG ball, is the key development indicator of a clubs rookies, we finished 2nd, panthers were shit house, finishing 12th (Storm didn't make finals either)

Why would I be taking piss? They are the best two run clubs in the NRL and both are in Flegg grand final.
And for your information Penrith had over 10 guys eligble for Flegg this weekend that didn't play.

And yes I agree we seem to have some promising kids. The problem is developing them properly and also keeping them which we seem to have issues doing.
Perhaps we have the best young crop but I've heard this before 20x. It might just be history repeating

Or Maybe we have a different development program to the Riff?

I see they have a lot of that CUP side moving on this year so the Flegg players will probably move up.

We have done something like that this year moving on a lot of older wasted space players and moved development players into those spots.

Panthers have also been actively recruiting ball and Flegg aged players from other cubs for next season as well..

We can pull ourselves over and over how good our juniors are going like we have for the past 20 years.

But until i see it translate into quality NRL players and results i am going to hold back on getting excited.

Penrith have had most of there quality torn apart and still on track to win another premiership.

I don't think they give a toss about NSW Cup.

I have faith Ryles will develop these juniors coming through but until i see it in action then its pointless us bragging over Penrith when it comes Junior Development.

Somerton, Luke and Toelau are all in their mid-20s ffs.

They haven’t been good for 20 years. Harold Matthews doesn’t count, because they can’t sign adult contracts until they are 18, then they just chase the money. That’s why we are traditionally so successful at Harold Matts and so mediocre at Ball/Flegg/NYC level. It’s only since 2017 that we have been strong in these ‘senior’ pathways grades, minus a brief drop in funding (for poaching) during Covid.

Not sure how many we have actively gone out and poached from other clubs for ball and Flegg.. I know of that 1 QLD forward...
There’s a few :- Bamblett, Petrus, Jim, Beattie, Summer, ES Tapau, Popo in Ball

Hunter, Lynn, T Brown, Nehemiah, Samuela, Stevenson-Hala, Lucien, Hudson, Miller , Faitala-Mariner , Lewis , Latu in Flegg

They indicate the reason why the club has become more successful recently, DeGois and Shepard have done a good avctive job in looking all over, QLD, Country , NZ and Sydney clubs.

We have no backs coming through. It is a problem. As you mentioned if we cop 2 injuries we'd end up with J.Tago and Nanva in the NRL. Whilst Nanva has great size and I like the look of him I'm unsure his ceilings that high. Misses a heap of tackles also.
I'm ok with forwards and halves. Looks like we have some great prospects.
