I don’t blame him. Playing a home World Cup would be a dream for many Union products.

I wonder if the game can poach him back after the World Cup.

Suburban comp?

More like interstate/ international comp.

NZ, PNG, Melbourne, QLD x 4. Perth and NSW clubs.

And Marky Mark certainly won't be wasting his time playing in front of quarter-full grounds for the Waratards in whatever they call that comp these days.

Just for the Wallabies.

He was always going to go back for a home World Cup. Now that people know who is (thanks to the NRL), they'll do anything to get him back.

So apparently he's only going for the home World Cup then wants to return to the Roosters in 2028.

Fair enough imo, anyone who has any interest in that sport would jump at a chance at playing in a home World Cup.
I have read and article anywhere where he's said that he wants to return to the roosters in 2028. Just reporters saying that it could be an option for him.

Doubt he’s coming back French union pays wingers money nrl won’t match even with a rise in the salary cap

Especially with the tax benefits they offer players he would be on double after tax what he can make here

I think NRL and the ARU come to some agreement when players want to go back and forth between the 2 codes and not spend big money on transfers but keep for invest in grass routes.
I see what Marky Mark wants and thats to play in a world cup and internationals of Union but also play in a elite club comp like the NRL.

He wants to go play for the fourth rate Wallabies who's admin keep spending all its cash as soon as it gets it? Bad career choice in my opinion, but its his life.

Rugby is a dead sport in Aus but the World Cup still shits on any league equivalent as an event.
