Rothfield and Weidler are apparently the most clicked on reporters in Rigby League circles.

And I'll add here that podcasts work in a similar fashion.
They aren't reporters or journalists. Calling them a journalist is an insult to the goold old fashioned hard woring people who had to work weeks on stories using their contacts. These useless pieces of shit are just gossip columnists. Basically reality TV media frauds

"Bitter blow for Sharks fan held over $1.9million Thai scam scandal" - The Daily Telegraph

Ridiculous story trying to connect the club to a crook who was arrested back in June. Not even a current or contemporaneous story.

Also, LOL at anyone thinking this Dennis guy was some kind of legit investment guru or businessman with those ridiculous tatts plastered all over him.

I think it is like tv with veiwership.

Higher rating shows have advertisers paying more.

So if a page gets x amount of clicks the advertisers pay more to be on that site.

That may not be 100% correct, but if it is not then there is also the increase in clicks means that advertisers on that page have a greater chance of getting click through.

I do think it is a combination of the above, but didn't fully understand either
How many times does an article read something and then you click and has hardly anything to do with it
