Most on here are saying R360 is a waste of time and money and are happy for rugby to spend it and waste their money and to tear their sport apart. Not that i am a supportor of R360 and couldn’t care less if it succeeded or failed, but I would think the money behind that would have access to the best advisors and accountants. Doesn't guarantee it will get up off the ground let alone be a success.

For the sake of league in the England it would be good to have a successful league team in the biggest city but history tells us it has been tried and failed.

A bit different. The London Broncos' owners are putting in their own money with no support. Super League and the RFL definitely aren't going to bail them out. And the market to sell to isn't exactly vast.

The R360 guys are a classic get-rich-quick scheme. I don't think they give a f**k about the long-term viability of the league and are hoping to get brought out by the IRB. Pretty sure they aren't stumping up their own cash either.

Agree with alot you say. But was just commenting that because they have money and can get the best advisors and accountants it doesn't guarantee success.

Agree with you that R360 is a bit if a get rich quick and if a success maybe flog it off and get richer. And if the Glazers have an interest as reported in some places you can almost guarantee it's not their money as poor Manchester United supporters such as myself know, they like to use someone else's, bleed it dry and reap the rewards.

If r360 is Saudi backed then money is not a problem but I don't know enough to comment (hasn't stopped me before lol)

I wish them all the best, and as I said, it would be great if there is a successful league team in the biggest city in England. Lockyer's mate that has deep pockets will probably need them based on history. Lockyer being a champion player doesn't mean he knows how to run a club (eg. the best players don't always make the best coaches) but hopefully his name opens doors and brings attention to the team and it becomes a success.

Once Fulham got promoted they put a clause on craven cottage that no more rugby be allowed there

That was when Al Fayed owned it I think and they were known as Fulham (when Brisbane owned them they changed to broncos)

So many ground shares after that with soccer and union clubs all have failed

Ground is biggest issue. Soccer club owning would be way around that. Was league a summer sport at time?!

Just googled no it wasn’t

Fulham weren’t in premier league so wanted the extra money

From memory they played at brentford fc Griffen park ground for ages, harlequins ground at twickenham for 3 years, a few years at Ealing ru ground then the current arrangement at plough lane

David Hughes has spent million on the club if he has just bought a small ground somewhere they would’ve been stable

They keep moving every few years to a totally different part of the city and starting again and each move the fan base drops off

My memory isn’t what it used to be but I think this was the most successful era for the broncos as they reached the challenge cup final, beat Canberra Raiders at a sold out stoop in the expanded WCC and had their highest league position.

im also pretty sure that the broncos later changed their name and colours to harlequins RL??

Yeh that sounds correct about taking the name and colours
