Good list.

What do we think of Davis and also Risati? Also Johansson.
Pretty decent , Davis a good prospect with speed, Johansson is strong, Risati has missed this years rep teams due to school and is also being chased by union where he reps too.

Just like how we have been, and will be again...

It was just the trial for the SG Ball squad but we had players from: NZ, Brisbane, Campbelltown, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Dubbo. Few other areas too. These players may compliment the 18 year olds from this year's squad and the 17 year olds from this year's Harold Matthews squad.

This would be no different to every other club at this time of year either.

We have no backs coming through. It is a problem. As you mentioned if we cop 2 injuries we'd end up with J.Tago and Nanva in the NRL. Whilst Nanva has great size and I like the look of him I'm unsure his ceilings that high. Misses a heap of tackles also.
I'm ok with forwards and halves. Looks like we have some great prospects.
Outside backs peak much earlier than other positions, so you need to look for future talent in Harold Matts. By the time they're too old for SG Ball, the best ones are already playing reserve grade or NRL.

It's official. Head of Pathways is literally not the coach's job. It's James Shepherd's job:

Fairly sure it's been official for some time now.
But you already knew that..

I’ve known it for a long time. I posted it for those who don’t know. Not you obviously, you know the head coach isn’t responsible for everything. It’s a team game, even off the field.

What is the situation with Cyrus Bloomfield? We may be in a battle with rugby for his services. Is he Aboriginal or is he Islander? Anyone know his contract situation?

No clue but he scored a hat trick yesterday for the Aus under 18s his cousin was also in the side and Risati played as well.

He didn't Impress me this year in Matt's but looks good at the moment playing Rugby.. Has some pace.

Why would I be taking piss? They are the best two run clubs in the NRL and both are in Flegg grand final.
And for your information Penrith had over 10 guys eligble for Flegg this weekend that didn't play.
Here's a comparison of the three clubs' final Flegg lineup off the season. The Panthers and Storm had three and four SG Ball eligible players, respectively. And not a single player who will be eligible for Ball again next year (i.e. 18 this year). Our Flegg team had six SG Ball players, including three who could play again in 2026:
