Talk it up while you can because you all know after round 1 next season you’re going to be looking over your shoulders.
Kidding yourself. Once myths get destroyed they never rise again. From now on the smug get judged on their merits, not their past reputation.

Good effort to make the prelim but unacceptable way for the streak/dynasty to end, feebly submitting to the Ponies late comeback by focusing too much on protecting the lead rather than trying to build on it.

Ivan has had a mare this year with bench rotation. His insistence in picking the most useless player to ever wear Penrith colours in Schneider definitely contributed to our second half ineptitude and subsequent finals exit.

Since I hate both teams I won't be watching next Sunday's GF. NRL can go and get farked. I will have a Netflix and chill instead.

Goodness me, the salt in this thread from the Pennies supporters. Got a little entitled there by premiership number 4, aye?

At least our club weren't the ring leaders in ruining rugby league back in the 1990's. I actually don't consider Queenslanders to be true Aussies. Go form your own country and let the rest of us be.

I remember times when Penrith making the preliminary final, or finals for that matter were a highlight of my year. We’ve been blessed with a fantastic run and I’m grateful to have experienced six grand final wins and the growth of the club.

We didn’t win and that’s okay, we did well to be there and next year will be another shot at a title.

Good times, great memories and another title shot awaits.

Turning point for me was Cleary going for the intercept that lead to the Broncos 2nd try. If he pulls it off it stops alot of momentum. Can't blame him for trying.
The Chin haters are out in force already…

Halves generally don’t become top tier until their very late 20’s/ early 30’s, he’s already a 4x Premiership winner, a 3x Origin winner, 2x MOM in Origin and CC Medal winner so he’s got plenty of time.

When he has a standout game in an Origin decider the haters heads will explode…

Back then the play the ball was with the foot, and you occasionally got pinged for offside at 2nd marker.
Penrith wouldn't have coped with that.
Come On when was the last time you actually saw a game where the play ball has been perfect? Would not have handled it what a lot of bollocks..

He was offside look at where he started- in front of the line it’s a penalty every day of the week.

You want to talk about not being binned somehow Martin stayed in the field for running 30m to whack Mam. Let’s just call both decisions average but they evened out
Can hardly blame him for that.

Just so proud of the Broncos.

The game couldn't have played out any worse for them in the first half. Costly penalties, cheap errors and no scoreboard pressure they were just playing into the Panthers hands.

However they just kept turning up and once the spine got settled they found another gear and it was just enough for them to prevail.

A theme of this finals series has been about players putting their body on the line. Some of the key players have tried to play in dinner suits and it's backfired on them. It's been a weakness in Walsh's game for sometime, but with the game on the line, he takes that tough carry, keeps the legs pumping and that was all it took to give Mariner half a chance.

It's been an up and down season for Walsh, but he's really beginning to mature as a player.

Take nothing away from Penrith. They're the best team of the modern era and they're just so clinical with their brand of footy. I thought they completely out-classed the Broncos for the majority of the game but it just wasn't their afternoon. Their success is far from over, they'll continue to be one of the marquee teams and will give the competition a real shake next year. It's always tough after big losses like this, but there's plenty to be proud of.

Canberra or Warriors ending our dynasty would have been ok because at least those are clubs I am neutral about. Now I have to deal with my bloody Broncos supporting father and him reminding me of the result forever. I'm mostly blaming Ivan Cleary though for poor bench selection and rotation.

I won't watch the game but Storm winning I'd prefer because I hate to see Broncos fans happy and love to see Reece Walsh sad.

Coming from a Broncs supporter who probs thought it absolutely OK to build premiership dynasties in the modern salary cap era, that’s a rich as a f**ken Black Forest Gateaux…
