Yep, which isn’t to say that Talataina or Fletcher (or both) won’t become better players than Pezet. But he is closer to a sure thing than those two. Obviously this is why he would cost a lot more as well, at least in the short term.

Are we more concerned about 2032 than we are about 2026 or ‘27? We just had our rebuilding year. Now we need to start winning.

That would be the ideal scenario because home grown talent always gives you more bang for buck in the cap. At least in the short to medium term because they tend to stay for unders.

Yep he won't hang around and nor should faologo , my guess is anasta wants him at parra and ryles is smart enough to know Joash is not much more than a backup 5/8 , Pezet to parra is my uneducated guess

360 was bizarre this week Anasta couldn't get away from the pezet to Parra discussion quick enough.

If he leaves Melbourne and ends up somewhere else the club will be ropeable.

He looked excellent every time Scum trotted him out, I still wish we had Ethan Sanders and paid unders, still, if we pay overs for Pezet in a time of expansion he's more than worth it, he's kept the Scum in the comp without Hughes

I say let him go another for another Tupou 196 cm 104kg fast running winger who stays on his wing, out jumps the opposition and not only DOESN't throw up one arm in a hail Mary for most times knock on but instead 90% of the time comes up with the catch cleanly for a try. How about we trade him off for that?

A rumour I heard is that the NRL competition is expanding to another two teams (2 x 30 = 60) and meanwhile there's an entirely new comp opened up in Saudi Arabia with no cap limit on expenditure.

Much like Sydney's property market, I bet the value of property is not correlated on a supply and demand pressure. After all, that's what I'm constantly told to believe.

In less than four weeks we can officially start negotiating with players for 2027. There will be some good signings for sure. As for 2026, it all depends on players getting a release.
