If it was me in charge I’d be trying to get Pezet in place of Tricky.
Trindal and Hynes just doesn’t work and I know most would prefer Hynes is moved on but i still haven’t seen enough from Trindal to persist with.

No point trying to get a new halfback until they realise Hynes aint a halfback. He's a runninng 5/8.

Getting Pezet would just replicate the problem.

Moving Hynes to 6, that might cause him to ask for a release if he believes he is truly a 7

Nelson Asofa Solomona, would be handy we need more toughness in the forwards Fanua can’t do it on his own.

We should be chasing Fainu boys at Tigers they have some issues re cap.
Our club needs to be aggressive going after players, in we want a player have him start pushing for release ie Hunt at Dragons

The club is obviously happy to accept there or there about’s. It seems obvious we need an upgrade or something different.

I know people will say he is safe and isn’t expensive etc, but I just can’t see us winning anything with him unfortunately.

I assume we have nothing left in the cap and assume no one else sees fit for WK. hoping he’s on unders and Ison gets upgraded next cycle.

WK is for 2026 only.
The club has obviously identified Ison to be the FB in the future, and probably earmarked him to be the first choice next year but his injury put paid to that idea. It will now be pending on how well he recuperates.
I wouldn't be surprised if in November we see WK back in this signing thread bound for Perth.

The club does not want to win plain and simple, we won't get any further then this year, more then likely regress.
Kennedy is not up to it, there were other fullbacks in the finals less experienced then him already have passed him.
This has just shown that the club is happy to make up the numbers and not strive for success.
I know Weekes didn't aim up against us in finals, but you can bet he will be a better fullback then Kennedy by end of 2026.

Perfect signing.

Questions / comments for those losing their mind about this.

1. Who should we have bought? Who is even available for NEXT YEAR?
2. You realise it’s only for a year for a reason right?
3. Ison isn’t ready yet. Returning from a bad injury and you want him to be the man?
4. This is the best outcome, worst outcome was WK signs for 3 years. Chill.

This. Makes sense.
Stop gap signing - Ison in the wings. Kennedy to Perth or UK post that.
No money (unless Vegas conglomerate drops some dosh)
Signing another player who didn’t aim up in the semis, but will be better by end of 2026?? Sounds like crystal balling like signing Corey Hughes? Yeah that’ll work.
Honestly, not sure how they got both Stonestreet and Kennedy… assume the cupboard was bare.

Good to see at least a couple of others are seeing some sense.
