There are travel groups going. At least a couple.
One being led by James Graham, there is another that Spudd is going on.
I think (not sure if it was a joke) there is another with Gary Belcher & Alfie Langer…

How Wembley is trending for opening game of the Ashes (black indicates sold areas, grey is not yet on sale)

Wembley around 39k sold

60k should be the absolute minimum this gets which is huge.

London always gets great crowds for tests

One of the English journos is reporting the sales are over 50k dunno who to believe

RL Commercial confirmed it was over 45K almost 2 weeks ago.

Its sold pretty well since then, including Cat 4s selling out in the lower bowl & additional bays being put on sale in the upper tier.

Some RL journalists have said they were told it was at 50K at last week's Man of Steel event - example:

that was around 6 weeks ago and the RFL have already announced figures of 45k being sold and close to 50k being sold which knowing the RFL could mean anything.
60k should be the absolute minimum this gets which is huge.
i believe only 58k have been put on sale so unless more bays are put on sale 60k is impossible.
London always gets great crowds for tests
they always get the biggest and anything north of 50k is great for a RL international in London.

exactly.

I’m hoping it can break 70k at Wembley which would look great on tv. Any chance?
Rfl should do a late deal with its clubs cutting them in on the revenue from each ticket sold

Or go to schools in London and give out the really awful seats to kids plus their parents lol

We used to give out loads of tickets to finals to juniors back in the day when they didn’t sell well

Yeah I don't see why they wouldn't flood some schools, carnivals, sport events, train stations nearby with cheap or free tickets a few days out

Should have been done from the get go really as we were never going to sell 90k tickets anyway.

what harm is there in giving away 10k tickets to London school kids and teachers/volunteers etc.

Dont want to devalue sales along the way and hurt revenue

Tour is going to be a huge money spinner for a cash strapped rfl

Anything over 60k is a bonus. Been a good year for them this year too their game is bouncing back

If you start giving away tickets early or discounting aggressively you will kill momentum for people paying full price where you make your money
yeah but it’s for a certain exclusive group of people in a certain city which wouldn’t apply to anyone else.

plus there would be no reason to even announce such a thing even existed until perhaps a few weeks out from the game.
Tickets are already too cheap over there anyway for big events
and for a good reason but to be fair I’m led to believe that all of the more expensive seats for Wembley have been sold.

60k is a solid pass for wembley. Sure 30k empty seats won’t look great on telly but thats the problem with a stadium too big for what we needed.

60k, 50k and 20k are great crowds for any int rl series!
