I understand his reach, just consider him a shock jock rather than a comedian. Like Kyle Sandilands, or more accurately (for the oldies) Stan Zemanek.
I would describe that as ignorance. Maybe it is an example of you being told what to think by the powers that be on the left and you find yourself complying? ("Here is what we think about Joe Rogan") I just would not do that. My own integrity is too important.
Look him up. He started out in Boston aged about 18 from a family with nothing. He worked hard and got better at stand up then moved to New York then the LA comedy scene. He was also very good at martial arts. Got TV shows then leveraged that into starting a podcast (before anyone was doing that) just getting interesting guests on and having a lot of curiosity which is what makes him so successful. He is hyper curious.

I'm loving Monday nights at 7pm Double J
Tower of Song = Alternate country. It can be a little hit and miss but I reccomend.
Dylan Lewis is also on Double J 3pm. Still has a bit of childish fun. Good host.

You seem hung up on that point, you've tried to introduce it twice. There is no "left newsletter" that tells people what to think... not more than anyone tells you or anyone else here (or Rogan or Maher) what to think.

I just happen to think differently about Rogan than you do... small(er) sample size perhaps, but life's too short for me to give shit comedy (or radio shows) much more of taste than I have.

Good on him for all that. Just not funny enough, or enlightening enough, to persist with for me. You yourself said you didn't like his stand-up, so I'm a little confused.

Henry Wagons does a good job of that show. Have a CD or two of his, and he can find and pull out some decent tunes.

Yep. Used to enjoy Recovery with he and Jane Gazzo back in the day.

There absolutely is. I think you formed you view on him during covid when he was under attack from the left-wing media. That horse de-wormer stuff.

You said you didn't know he was a stand-up comedian and thought he just had a radio show. He is a very successful standup comedian. He did his stand up in front of sold out Maddison Square Garden for example.

Um, no. As stated earlier, I didn't know who the guy was until he got posted in here by some people - probably when he was slamming Covid measures etc. I asked a few questions of people in here, went and listened to a few highlights/episodes, and formed my view on Rogan based on that.

I'll take your word on that. Had never heard of him until people started posting clips of his radio show in here. Same as I'd never heard of Charlie Kirk until he died - don't go telling me his views were all a comedy act too? (Too soon...?)

Do you have some stand-up comedians that you like?
I don't especially like Joe's stand up (although I've seen some of his early stuff and it is fantastic) but he is up there with Arnie for mine as far as awesome self-made dudes go.
On the left I would say Bill Maher is a great talent although again I don't consider his stand up all that highly.
I don't consider Rogan a comedian.

What would he know? I’ve been saying it for years — nothing’s more pathetic than a frustrated, virtue-signalling lefty. Absolutely nothing. We see them here every single day, parading their fake morality from behind a screen.

Smug is off the charts. Thinking that you are smarter than all Rogan listeners lacks self awareness.

Look, I don’t really like Rogan and his group of arse clown friends but holy f**k, the Democrats are horribly bereft of any talent right now.

A bit like the LNP in this country.

I find it incredible just how spineless the Dems are when you consider how much ammunition that Trump gives them on a daily basis.

My only access to American politics is through my socials, so I maybe wrong, but I never see them giving it back to Trump when they should be dining out Tony Abbott style, from the opposition bench.

Newsome being the exception, but he's not Federal or whatever it's called in the States.

Well Rogan is a conservative / Trump fan from way back, so he'd do that against any Democrat.

But Rogan's hardly a comedian... why would you expect the comedy community to go against Newsom? Rather than continuing to go against Trump/Vance, like for example in the latest series of South Park?

have you seen this? crack up

Again, showing off your well-practised habit of expending the actions of a few extreme cases to smear a classification of an entire group of people...

Lazy on an intellectual level. Or trolling... kind of like our friend Pou's lazy/trolling takes in all of the footy threads?

I think they have spent so much time and effort trying to be vanilla and safe that they actually succeeded, and no merkin's listening.

The closest thing they've got to a Trump is Bernie, and he's not really a Democrat, and is actually as close to a proper leftist as opposed to a liberal as could be elected, but they f**ked him over for Grandpa Biden, who ran on being not Trump, and if you want Obama to run again he can't, but as his VP I'm as close as you'll get.

Did you shoot your load mate?
Maybe try condemning the actions of the very people you enable before you attempt humour. Like I said earlier, you’re a passive softcock. That Police Officer is a man’s man — the kind you could actually respect. I’d share a beer with him any day before wasting a second on you — because, as I said, you’re a softcock through and through.

Maybe you should condemn the actions of the people you enable before attempting any type of humour. Like I said earlier, you’re a passive softcock. That Police Officer is far from it.

Firstly, the merkins throwing shit - f**k 'em, I hope they find them and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.

Secondly, nah, It wasn't an attempt at humour. It's an observation of your pathetic expression of glee that old mate stepped outta line and decided politicizing policing was the way to go.
