Another lefty being schooled. It’s like sport.
Haha poor Kevin 07 had to sit there and just cop it.

Serves him right as well he carried on like a A-Grade goose as the Australia Ambassador for US and that's his receipt from Trump.

An utter humiliation.

Btw you would think the bloke could have had a shave and looked half respectable representing our country.

That goatee looks borderline disgraceful.

Albo f**king nailed it hey fellas, you'd all be pretty chuffed with that outcome yeah?

Yeah. LOL’s and stupid culture war shit aside, they made good progress.

The fact that the outcome is secondary in a lot of people’s minds to the bullshit and performance is disappointing, but not surprising.

Yep, that's how it is. merkins have a narrative, it doesn't change.

The Twitters was full of merkins thinking Trump was gonna burn him, but now cause it went well at face value, it's Trump playing 4d chess and setting him up for a fall. The cope is unbelievable

Turnbull giving Albo 10/10... and praise for Rudd.

"A journalist from the Murdoch stable once again asked Trump about Kevin Rudd’s old tweets criticising Trump in colourful terms. Trump’s reply sounded tongue-in-cheek to me, hardly a savage rant.

Albanese has been right in keeping Rudd in Washington, and right in bringing him to the meeting. That showed strength of character – and strength and power are the only things Trump respects. Trump may not like Rudd, but today’s outcomes, especially on rare earths and critical minerals, are testimony to Rudd’s effectiveness. Bullshit and backslapping are fine, but delivering the goods is what matters."

And from the other side of politics (well their Murdoch media mouthpieces), high praise for Albo too.

Analysis: PM’s meeting with Trump proves Sussan Ley wrong

Anthony Albanese must be feeling pretty smug right now – and he has every right to be.

Anthony Albanese inking a historic critical minerals deal with US President Donald Trump in their first formal face-to-face has exposed the hollowness of criticisms lambasting him for not flying to Washington the second Mr Trump was re-elected.

The Prime Minister “can’t get a phone call with the President” let alone an in-person meeting, the opposition and commentators declared time and time again, as they accused him of treating Australia’s “most important ally” carelessly.

Unearthed comments about Mr Trump made by Mr Albanese and senior figures in his government were supposed to derail the relationship completely.

So were recognising Palestinian statehood and pursuing green energy, while pushing back on War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s call to hike defence spending was supposed to sink AUKUS.

The Coalition charged that tariffs were proof relations were in tatters.

But all of these dire warnings were wrong – when Mr Trump welcomed Mr Albanese to the White House on Monday (Tuesday AEDT), he had just one message for Australians: “We love you.”

Inside, sat alongside Mr Albanese in the Cabinet Room, Mr Trump was given numerous opportunities to take a swipe at his Australian guest as he effortlessly took almost 30 minutes of questions from the travelling press pack.

He refused to “compare” prime ministers, but said Mr Albanese “has a big advantage”.

“I think he’s doing a really good job,” Mr Trump said.

“We’ve had a very good relationship.

“I don’t want to compare one with the other, but I’ll tell you … they’ve got a great, they really have a great prime minister.”

Etc

And for those with an attention span longer than Tik Tok, here's what went on afterwards (from a Murdoch news link)...

Moments after copping a brutal serve from Donald Trump, Kevin Rudd made a beeline for the President. Here’s what went down once the cameras turned off.

US President Trump has told Kevin Rudd that “all is forgiven” after a tense moment at the White House when he was reminded of his previous attacks before he was appointed as Australia’s ambassador.

After the pair sparred during a press conference, Australian officials present at the meeting have told news.com.au there was a further exchange after the press conference.

“Is this the guy?’’ Mr Trump asked Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as he pointed to Mr Rudd while the media was being ushered out of the room.

“He seems like a nice guy,’’ he quipped.

Eyewitnesses say that Mr Albanese said Mr Rudd, a former Australian prime minister, was a nice guy prompting more laughter.

“All is forgiven,’’ Mr Trump said after subjecting him to global humiliation during the televised press conference.

Officials present say that Mr Rudd then offered another “genuine” apology for his past remarks which included describing Mr Trump as a “village idiot”.

Australian officials insist that the US President’s decision to hold the signing deal in the cabinet room was a huge honour and a sign of respect to Australia.

After the press conference, Mr Trump and Mr Rudd had a working lunch which was described by officials as “an excellent bilateral working lunch.”

“It went really well,’’ an official noted.

Mr Rudd was part of those talks and while the discussions were led by the Prime Minister and the US President, he participated and according to those present there were “no issues”.

merkins should compare Rudds comments on Trump with those of JD Vance first time around, they were pretty f**king harsh, and the guy's vice president.
