We've got money. We just don't have the resource of rich fans helping us be dodgy with 'arms length' TPAs.Bullshit!! We are just a small tin pot club with no resources and no money.

Who give a rat's arse what Pezet does in 2027?Anasta confirmed that we DID try and get him on a long term deal and they chose to go to Brisbane instead from 27.
I don’t blame Anasta or Pezet for a second for choosing Brisbane long term, that’s a no brainer really.
I do blame our club for thinking it’s fine that after hearing that fact that we were still willing to offer him a contract for 12 months in between, regardless if we are paying him $1m or a pie and Coke.
That is just f**king embarrassing and makes us look like a second rate.
I rate Ryles and I think he has been a tremendous addition to our club but I can’t help but think he’s let his relationship with Pezet get in the way of what is the correct decision here.
I stand with my opinion that unless we somehow snag a comp with Pezet then we get absolutely no benefit from this.
Hypothetically what if Pezet comes out next year and absolutely kills it, we come top 4 and we make a prelim or something similar, yep woohoo we’ve had a good year…. but how will we all feel that he is then leaving and we go into the next season with an unproven rookie at 6? Not to mention they will have huge pressure on them to back up what Pezet produced.
If Pezet comes out and is ordinary then realistically were we any worse of giving Joash more of an opportunity?
Good if true, but Anasta has no reason to tell the truth about anything.Anasta said on his podcast we got him cheaper then his Storm deal which was 500k
We are finally a rich well resourced club that's a playa in this comp. We actually do have arms length TPAs, we're Australia's 2nd CBD.We've got money. We just don't have the resource of rich fans helping us be dodgy with 'arms length' TPAs.
He's not good enough to play NRL every week. Ergo he is a reserve grader.Wtf is going on?
100%!View attachment 107302
How great is this bloke?!! You cannot help but love him. Hope we re-sign him for another 2 years on top of his current deal.
Then why are Parra lying about what actually happened? We offered him 3 years straight from Anastas mouth but Brisbane jumped in and beat us out. He wants to play for Brisbane. They get the benefit of us developing him in first grade for a year. Ryles is going to take heat for this. No point trying to cover up. Just own it.
I don't think this is true at all. He is good enough to play NRL every week while our guys are not. Hopefully after another year in reserve grade one of them steps up, most likely Talataina.currently hes only slightly better if at all better than our current guys
The talk has been around him wanting a one year deal (including loan) for ages. The Broncos need a halfback and we don't. Why would we want to match their offer so he can play second fiddle to Moses on the same sized contract? What a waste of cap space. So the spin that we always just wanted him for a year so we didn't block pathways was just BS coverup that we got outplayed by the Broncos. No surprise there.
He is obviously better than any of our other options at 6. What's so hard to understand about that? His superior ability more than makes up for any intangible 'combinations'. I mean, if combinations are so important, why didn't the Broncos bring him in for 2026?People can’t know their goals and they can’t even set their own simple goals because he won’t be here long enough to be judged, so in turn the management can’t be judged on it…. And you wonder why people are questioning it. Really instils the faith that they’ll review the decision making process that led to it.
We lost Talagi because Arthur's got the sack.I'm failing to see how we lose on this deal. We are a genuine premiership threat next year if we can get some elite forward pack signings and if Pezet sees his future in QLD we're buying time for our juniors to come through after losing Talagi thanks to Brad Arthurs' nepotism.
First time's do happen and this moment is testament to it.The talk has been around him wanting a one year deal (including loan) for ages. The Broncos need a halfback and we don't. Why would we want to match their offer so he can play second fiddle to Moses on the same sized contract? What a waste of cap space.
Wrongo McDongo! We lost Talagi because Arthur's got the sack.
Glass half empty ffs. What if he leaves Parra and plays worse at the Broncos?!?Anasta confirmed that we DID try and get him on a long term deal and they chose to go to Brisbane instead from 27.

It doesn’t matter if he turns into Joey Johns or Ben Kusto at the Broncos, it’s the whole situation… it stinks.Glass half empty ffs. What if he leaves Parra and plays worse at the Broncos?!?
Businesses looking for genuine sponsorship return look for brands, i.e. the Parramatta Eels. That's where they want to spend their money. The kinds of people who pay money directly to players who can't even wear club colours during their 'sponsorship' engagements are just mad fans with money to spend. I'm talking about the type of money that can make a player take a couple hundred grand less to sign with one club over another. We are finally a rich well resourced club that's a playa in this comp. We actually do have arms length TPAs, we're Australia's 2nd CBD.
We go in with our eyes open. Like banging a chick on holidays when you know you'll never see her again. It doesn’t matter if he turns into Joey Johns or Ben Kusto at the Broncos, it’s the whole situation… it stinks.
It's got nothing to do with Arthur's, it's having cash to spend on full time staff after we'd done paying for the CoE build."Glass half empty ffs."
Again, sad to say I have to agree with Poupou.
What's with all the negativity about our Pezet win?
We have our juniors coming through and we've finally got a centre of excellence with a pathways system in place after the Arthurs era we've finally got a system worthy of an elite club in Australia's 2nd CBD.
As I've always said I thank the Arthurs for their service to our our club. But we are now becoming a real entity, an eternal big 5 club.
