I feel the club are hopeful that a 2027 signing may come available early hence why they seem to be in no rush to fill those final 4 spots, with expansion in 2027 clubs are likely to be open to the idea to upgrade some other players in their roster and extend them out.

Hetherington has been available for 11 months and 3 weeks for any team and someone finally signed him...Not every signing is a black eye on the club lollll
Much rather him than Josh Kerr or Adam Elliottt…. sorry to correct you but he hasn’t been on the market for 11 months and 3 weeks as he decided to stay at Broncos earlier I. The season…. He only recently became available. But let’s wait and see what massive forward signings we come up with for 2026

How does that make sense can you explain in a different way?

He was either off contract at the end of this season so could be spoken to from Nov 1st last year (IE 11 months and 3 weeks) or he is off contract next year meaning he can't be signed until after Nov 1st this year for 2027.

Unless you are saying the broncos granted an early release to break contract to sign elsewhere after extending him?

He is a decent player but I'm unsure why you'd want another player so similar stylistically to what we have in Stewart, the Couchmen etc. Saints need a 1st hit up prop.

Apparently our jersey for Vegas is going to be a bit different according to Flanno on the mad dragons vod. All the sponsors have agreed to change the colours of their logos to red and white so the jersey is all red and white. Still has the red v of course
look forward to seeing it, I was looking at the jersey a while back from a designers perspective, and those massive blue shoulder sponsors really ruins the look completely.. cant do much with that.. not a fan of the Squadron Energy logo either, I thought it was a mistake when I first saw it, the way the words were spaced.. needs a rebrand.

Logos are a 'really' sensitive subject for many companies.. but I would love to see the ability to have recolours of all our sponsors logos in the initial contract.. for all special jerseys atleast.. we can do stuff if we could have them all red or all black or some such.. could make a very cool jersey.. cool jerseys I think are a win for everyone.. if this vegas one is our version of the panthers all black and gold jersey.. it will be incredibly popular...

ILIAS FINDS A NEW HOME

Lachlan Ilias’ time at the Dragons is over.

That is according to WWOS, who are reporting he will reportedly sign with the Titans in the coming days, ending his horror stint at the Red V club.

Ilias signed a two-year deal ahead of the 2025 season, but he was dropped to NSW Cup after Round 8, with Kyle Flanagan the preferred No.7 to close out the year.

The talented playmaker was one of the stand-out performers in reserve grade, but failed to notch up another NRL appearance after he was exiled.

With veteran Kieran Foran retiring, Josh Hannay is reportedly looking to bolster his halves stocks.

As it stands, AJ Brimson and Jayden Campbell are the club’s only two recognised playmakers, with Tom Weaver departing the club at the end of the 2025 season.

Ilias is set to provide another halfback option for the Titans, who have struggled to lock down their pairing in recent years.
