AI is so very sloppy.

Seems reliant on humans to clean up almost every mistake - in terms of facts (like the above), or AI graphics with stuff out of place like six fingers etc. I don't think it's learning from itself (from humans correcting it) as well as it's supposed to.

Must be making some merkins some serious bucks though, the way it's been pushed into everything well before it's base level reliable in any way.

Suck on this one, Trumpy baby!

He was ahead in the polls. The only question was whether he would get enough of the Jewish vote.

After watching the final debate it doesn’t surprise me that he was voted in.

Cuomo is a grubby thickshit with too much baggage…and Sliwa said f**k all and looked like he was just happy to be there. Mamdani was at least a bit polished.

Like in Aus I don’t read too much into state matters. No doubt Trump has put some of his own supporters offside but the Dems still need to put forward a decent candidate and run a decent campaign.
The anti Epstein forces in maga have the high moral ground.

JD would be well advised to start carefully distancing himself from Trumpy.

Shift a bit to the centre before the files are released and the names of the pedos and perverts become public knowledge.

It's still relevant, you have to remember, all hype aside, Trump is not running again, so it's not just the Dems that have to find a candidate, and if Maga is on the nose, what does the GOP have?

Its a bit early for mine to be particularly relevant but it would give the Dems hope.

It is a lot more common for state and federal voting to be quite different in Aus than the US so you can probably read more into state shit over there. However, the shift needs to occur in the handful of swing states. What happens in a Dem state like NY is arguably less important given it will have sat with them for 40 years by the time the next federal election rolls by and will be incredibly tough to flip.

I agree that GOP need a good candidate as well. In an ideal world they'd have a plan for a change of the guard but that will be difficult with Trump's ego. The dickhead is still talking about running for a third term FFS and if it all goes to shit he will probably drag everyone down with him.

Yeah for sure, Virginia is interesting though, sure it's blue, but there are congress seats in play and the gubernatorial flipped a few countries blue in marginal red congressional districts.

New York was interesting but only because an actual lefty in Mamdani was running against a pretend lefty in Cuomo.

Cuomo didn’t fool people and Trumps support didn’t help. I’m sure the Dems will look at some of the factors that led to them doing well and apply similar strategies in other states come the mid-terms. Some definite positives for them but you don’t win GFs in March.

I'd reckon the Dems are gonna find themselves all kinds of reasons why Mamdani is a one off for NY, and there is no lesson to be learnt from it beyond we shoulda nipped that shit in the bud earlier.
